I always wonder why they do something dumb like making this Not work on smart objects. You might think Oh, well that's complex and too difficult to do or something like that, but you'd be wrong. And I know what because this tool is Also in After Effects, which IS non-destructive. But of course, this feature is pretty darn slow, so it makes sense to just do it in photoshop with a duplicate and lose the extra space rather than using AE for one effect. BUT, if you aren't quite sure exactly what you're going to want, in AE you can keyframe a bunch of things that you might want to look at. Then render that out to see which settings you like while you go grab an espresso. Then once you see the setting you like, go back over to photoshop and use those same settings. Just keep in mind that the settings are resolution dependent, so you can't do that in AE on a resized image without doing some math to figure out the settings you'd need on a full resolution image.

Thanks for the great work you do and all the knowledge u share. Just a small tip in regards to opening a folder via CMD: go into the desired folder, click the path bar (exanple D: \DaVinci Resolve\. gallery, delete everything, type CMD, press enter. Boom you have the CMD on the correct folder; )

Also resizing depth map is just as simple as entering the width of original photo in pixels with aspect ratio lock on. Depth map doesn't seem to be of same resolution for photos from different phones. But damn. This is really a cool trick I've learnt so far.

Pls tell me how do you get such high quality audio. I've a condenser mic that I purchased without phantom power. The audio is no where close to what you have. Will Phantom power solve the problem or do I need something else?

I have a problem after extracting the depth by the code - when dropping it to the PS, it says ' depth. jpg is not ready. When in the folder, I can't see the image itself, just a file. Any advice is much appreciated.

Ok, I have a problem, I can make the depth copy with CMD but, it doesn't work because I can't open that file, in photoshop it tells me The file is being generated so I don't have a previsualization either. HEEEELP

Seems that next step will be lens changless f/less revolution. One zoom lens will rule all apertures. With one slider in lightroom to sync every photo to look like f/1. 2. Maybe better f/0. 95? Amazing.

I have a feature on my Huawei phone which allows me to adjust the aperture after taking a photo, but this is very informative. I wonder if we can do this on photos taken by cameras.

if you just hold shift and right click on the folder where you have the image. u will get an option to open command prompt here. u can avoid coming all the way from the user root dir

That's not 'minus', that's 'dash' and that's not 'greater than', that's something to let the terminal know where to write the output to (the image file in this case.
