I remember my dissatisfaction when I output some ten second layered animation in PS CS6 instead of CS4.
First it was no longer a quicktime h. 264 film, and the quality sucked. I was excited by the render time difference and efficiency, but found the footage unusable first, because I couldn't paste it on my other footage, and the quality was poor compared to. the CS4 output. And all I doing was animating black and white photos.

Making a stamp visibile layer at the top helps a lot also for file previews. In fact, sometimes on my Mac, if I end with a high pass filter at the top to increase detail, the preview will be grey like the layer with high pass filter. It doesnt happen all the times, but sometimes its in this way, so I put a stamp visible layer at the top to be sure also the preview is correct. Anyway, great as always Unmesh

especially if you're using an old school windows pc (like me) i always prefer work with less layers, marging and backuping your project. working smart objects, masks and more steps in ps, get more and more difficulties on my pc. i split a project to several documents and work on them. i know it takes longer but in Turkey we have to buy one more pc to our goverment when we buy a new pc: ( what a shame.

just scale 100%, and your problem is solved, I literally laughed after watching this video sorry but you made video on simple thing, let the people do some research you're making them lazy day by day. learning is about exploring and experiencing brother! Good practice when you are scaling down. But not so great when you scale up and you need a resampling from your smart layers. For that you might want to consider designing at what may be your max output size. At least then, this trick will be useful when going down the scale.

My photos go to print. My raw images are in 300 ppi, but when I export it, it become 72 ppi. Why is that and how can I keep it in 300 ppi since it goes to printing. Thank you!

Hey thanks for the tutorial. But I'm having an issue with my displacement filter not exporting. It doesn't even show up on the export. And when I try and group the layers it disappears. Any help? Thank you

But if you merged all layers before export. There's no point any more to go higher resolutions, right? You won't actually benefit from a higher resolution because it's already burned into pixels.

Moral: Always create a merged visible layer on the top of all layers before exporting. That I never do. But I realized now I should.

Neural filters let you know how far it is with the rest, such as face to carature, pencil lustration, sketch to portrait, etc.

Thanks for this info. I have never exported anything out of Photoshop. I always use save or save as. Now I know what to do if I should, for some reason, export the file.
