The fact that there are so many different techniques used in head swap tutorials tells me that there's an art to this. This video is helpful from the photographer/professional angle but the truth is that so many of us are trying this with pictures that doesn't quite match as well and we don't really know why it doesn't work. It would be cool to see him try this in a case where the pictures aren't perfect just to see how close he could get.

Sometimes, i'm so envious of the AIs who do the refacing so damn well, recreating the lighting, and colour, etc perfectly. But there's no option for me to use images from my own gallery to reface faces and so i try to do some, manually. i use your previous method (the b&w + curve + h&s) and it gets the job done, but it's never up to the standard that the AI sets.

A tutorial I would really like to see, is partly colourising a black amd white photo, e. g. background trees foreground grass, coloured but leave the group of people in the centre in black and white, as in a old group wedding photo thanks, like this if you want to see this also thanks

Hu PiXimPerfect, Thank you very much for the tutorial, But I have a question, There is some sort of blur on the body that does not exist on the head? How can you match that? Is it just a color blur? Because the texture is still there?

That color lookup is SUCH a brilliant idea! It makes so much sense, since the effect will apply to all parts of the image and it helps unify the new head so much. Thank you so much!
