When utilized these methods can help to make you a Windows 10 ninja saving you time! Piltdown: The taskbar shortcuts at 9:44 have seldom worked in both of the weeks I've owned this computer. Not exactly a reason to switch to Apple, but it would be nice. I looked up some fixes for this online, and some were pretty outlandish. Edit the registry? Not this child.

3:42 to 3:58 or better yet create a Toolbar Folder to put in the taskbar. This way you can put one click access to ANYTHING ( instead of only what Windows allows you to pin) on the taskbar which includes separate folders such as the root folder (aka This PC), documents, pictures, music, videos, Downloads. I've been doing this since windows 7.
Right click an empty area of taskbar, move mouse to Toolbars and select New toolbar... After creating the folder you want to put such things into. Now navigate to that folder and select to open it.
Now you'll see some tiny vertical dots in the taskbar. Ensure your taskbar is unlocked if you don't see the dots by right clicking on it and ensuring the lock the taskbar us not checked left click and drag to the left on those vertical dots. Now you can see the items you put into that taskbar folder. Drag it until all items are there. Optionally, you can remove both the title and other thing and have only icons for a much cleaner look and basically have a dock in Windows.. But without the need for a third party tool.
I have my panel in Linux Mint 20 set up the same way but requires, of course, a little bit different steps to achieve the same thing

I d created an taskbar toolbar folder named Quick Actions which contains shutdown, log off, restart, command prompt, task manager, New beta file explorer, New settings app, Old Microsoft edge (which I already have am new one!) and Windows Powershell, Internet explorer history folder, Godmode control panel etc. I ve also organised my start menu by creating folder, categorised Start folders by Name and inside categorised by App colours and App types!

Saved this so I can watch it again. Just when I was getting smug about having learned something already, there you go with a useful tip I had no idea about.
