Tbh, cutting carbs out completely or limiting to once a day. really isnt that crazy, its worked for me and it can work for alot of people. Obviously calorie deficite is whats doing the actual work, but simply removing what is for most people the highest cause of high calorie intake works as well. Regarding the weird fasted times, im not a fan, but at the same time, its doing the exact same thing I just described with the carbs, its removing the time window in which many people intake excess calories.
As everyone in this comments section likely knows (were all seekers of knowledge about fitness and health here, otherwise we wouldn't be in this comment section) consistency is the key to good health, whether its diet or exercise and most likely both. For many people, that consistency can only come through simple obvious clear decisive patterned behaviors the body can adjust for, like stop eating at this time, no more eating: or time to not eat carbs on this day this might seem crazy and yes both could actually cause short term health dangers, light headedness, keto flue, whatever. whenever you cut some food out its not gona feel good, no shit. But if this is the brain pattern consistency that works for those people who am I to judge it

1. Stop mincing words, dietary needs = nutrition. I fully get you're talking about weight loss plans (particularly the more hardcore/extreme ones.
2. Hydration is always a good advice, but the real advice there is learn the difference between dehydrated and hungry. Hell, most people I've had conversations with about this can't identify the physical sensation of hunger.
3. Yup.
4. Not a bad advice though going back to point number 2, learn what hunger actually feels like, get hungry and stay hungry for a few hours. Ones cravings naturally start shifting towards food items that has what your body needs.
5. Pay attention to what your body is telling you, consistency comes easy when you stop and notice that the junk food makes your tummy feel funny or that protein shake doesn't hit the spot because it brings no additional value into the equation, unlike protein rich food of actual quality.
Yes yes my take on it is not as simple to follow, but you know what I'm ripped all year around, weighing 95kg and I get to eat whatever I want whenever I want.
It isn't great genetics either, I was literally morbidly obese 10 years ago.

1. Take the word diet out of your vocabulary (eat clean consistently)
2. If you weigh 175 lbs, drink 175 oz of water a day (1 oz of water per lb of body weight)
3. Strength training is more valuable than cardio (train at least 3 days a week)
4. Prioritize protein (1 gram of protein per lb of body weight)
5. Consistency (consistency is not difficult, think about how many bad habits you consistently have. Change the way you think about the word)

I just really enjoy food that is: 1. Affordable and 2. Tastes good. 3. Easy to make.
Every meal plan I've ever seen is either super expensive and weird, or tastes like ass. This includes athleanx.
Turmeric salmon with fresh crab kale bakes is not something I can afford. Cheese and eggs in a tortilla is more my speed
And I'll be fat forever because I don't want to spend $30 per meal, 5 times a day

On the hydration side. I actually go to the point that I was flushing nutrients out and suffering from uncontrolled muscle spams. The ultrasound at the orthopedic showed muscle activity similar to low dose electric stimulation, all the time. After some blood work and trial and error, saline deficiency. Now adding extra salt to the DIY version of LMNT to every water bottle.

7: 35 I was out at a restaurant recently (pub actually) and I ordered the menu item with the most protein: Steak and Prawns. That was literally what it said on the menu. Most expensive thing on the menu too. There was more bloody broccoli on the plate than there was steak or prawns. Maybe this tip works in the States; but up here in Canada, good luck.

The key is consistency. Probably after following suggested diet for a month, you start building your nutrition plan based on what’s sustainable. Same goes with selecting workouts from alternate options. After about a couple months you actually have your own unique training plan and nutrition based around the suggested ones.

That water advice is good but my problem is with that is just I was former adult bed wetter so with that much water intake, those bed wetting instincts would awaken in day time, aside from the joke the peeing too much is a problem in working environment where you can't go on to many breaks so what you'd recommend

I knew the first list was fake as soon as he mentioned the first point. Jeff never recommends hyper-specific things, probably because he knows the more specific, the harder to keep it going for a long period. Most of his tips are ways to improve exercises, or ways to reshape a harmful way of training/thinking.

The diet of bonobos and chimpanzees isn’t considered temporary so to speak. Yet however they do die at some point so yea I guess it is temporary Nutrition is what makes up their diet however. I think the word diet is being used with the fad diet connotation here rather than the scientific definition.

I just signed up on your web page for protein powders. The stuff I was looking at looks solid. Honestly the next time I get protein powder I'm going to buy from your web site. I especially like that it's whey protein or whey based. Look forward to trying some at some point down the road.

I dont know how people lose weight from cardio.
After a 5mi run, I'm eating a medium/lg pizza and ice cream.
I'm calorie loading, and sometimes its not in a good way.
I usually gain weight from cardio.
Because afterwards im calorie loading.

Consistency is the absolute hardest part for me. Living with fused joints makes it difficult to stick to anything because the pain and soreness is 24/7. I workout when I can, but some weeks that may only be 1 or 2 days
