There really needs to be more coverage of these type of exercises. This is the beginning of a farmer's walk. If you cannot perfect this, you shouldn't be doing farmers walks.
I call these exercises a standing plank. It can be done with one hand but you can also use two hands. I use a band looped around my neck and down to my feet along the front of my body. It is important to squeeze your core as hard as you can as if someone was punching you.

Hello, i have a question.
I am 19 years young, 1, 63 meters tall at 52 kilogramm. So I'm pretty skinny.
I already have a slight six pack, but my stomach is formed like a balloon, or like steroid users, but i'm not taking any.
My belly is sometimes so blown that it hurts, it feels like the organs are pressing on the chest bone.
So i mostly suck my belly a little bit in.
Well, any ideas to help?

How much weight is it healthy to lose? I'm a naturally lean guy but put on a shit load of weight because I started driving a truck about 70 hours a week. I'm 5'8 and I went from around 145-150 pounds to about 185-190 pounds in a matter of about a year. I've lost weight and I currently weigh about 160 but I still have a belly kind of. Should I cut a little more weight or just start doing ab workouts?

This is a great point. I use a variation of this where I grab one heavy dumbell and I walk for a slow 20-count (basically a one-hand farmer's walk. Then I switch sides and come back for another 20 count; I do 3 sets of that as a workout finisher. I find this really gets the core working hard from having to stabilize after each step. Key word here is HEAVY dumbell, as heavy as you can.

Jeff I just wanna say I really respect you for being real and not fake. I have been a trainer on and off for 20yrs. competitor to fighter and trainer. I have always had a hard time losing water weight and getting those shredded abs I want badly so what can I do to get that? I'm 45 yrs old but I know age is only a number. Thanks

In my opinion this is one good way to conjure free testosterone levels as well as practicing form. Just know that form is an adaptation that our bodies resist at times. I almost get hurt when im working on form sometimes. These tips are the ones that can limit injury.

Just the other day I was at the store with the wife and kids and I grabbed a hand basket and started filling it up. Pretty soon it got heavy enough where I incorporated this principle while grocery shopping. By the time we reached the checkout my core felt great!

2 of the easiest ways to train your core:
-take your bilateral (two arm/two leg) exercises and turning them into unilateral (one arm/one leg) exercises, when possible.
-take your seated exercises and do them while standing, when possible.
