m covering the mistakes made in the workouts and giving you a workout plan for skinny guys that will help you to start adding muscle to your frame without having to sacrifice your low body fat level you likely are starting with. In order to build muscle as a skinny guy you have to look yourself in the mirror and confront your fears first. I know it sounds odd but it is a common problem that sets the roadblock up, preventing you from making any progress. Many hardgainers will fear going to the gym because they don-t want to face the ridicule of the bigger guys around them. That has to stop today. In fact, you-d likely find that if you talked to the majority of these big muscle guys that they would admire your pursuit of change and might even sympathize with you having taken that journey themselves already. Once you get to the gym it-s time to start simplifying your workout plan. The biggest problem with skinny guys is that they try and to more rather than less. It-s an obvious mistake and one that I can see why people make so often. That said, if you are not enhanced and are a natural lifter, doing less is almost always the first step to take rather than trying more. That said, you want to pick just one exercise for each of the six major muscle groups in your body. These are your chest, back, shoulders, legs, and arms. The exercises you choose should be compound in nature and hit multiple muscles at one time. Not just that but these exercises allow you to gradually load up the weight over time as you get stronger. This is why you would pick a barbell curl instead of a concentration curl. Once you identify the exercises you are going to use (my suggestions are provided in the video) then you want to actually lower the weight you might be inclined to try and use. Remember, your discomfort in the gym might make you try and compensate by swinging around weights that you simply cannot command. Don-t do this. Instead, back down on the weight and make sure you can actually lift it with good form and own it. From here, the fun begins. Add weight to the bar on every exercise at every opportunity. Soon you will see that your muscles will grow almost before your eyes. You will gain confidence and you will see muscle growth that will inspire you to keep going. Your only goal at this point should be to be sure you are pushing yourself as hard as you can. Only when you get comfortable being uncomfortable will you see the gains continue to come at a rapid pace. If you are looking for a complete workout plan that helps you to build the foundation of strength needed to pack on muscle size and mass, then head to and get the ATHLEAN-X Training System. Start training like an athlete and start looking like one faster than you ever thought before

I started of at home for 3/4 months with dumbells and a bench then my friend introduced me to a cheap gym, I was so scared on the first day so i trained with him and an instructor for the first week cause I didn't 100% know what all the exercise machines did and how to use them to be honest, fast forward a few weeks and my friend couldn't make it to the gym on this certain day so I plucked up the courage to go there by myself but it actually turned out my friend hasn't gone for over a month so what did I do? Well simple I have been going to the gym 3 days a week for for 6 weeks now by myself I'm consistent with my training, I even trained Christmas eve cause I didn't want any time off, I ain't as skinny as I used to be for sure and I learnt those 'big guys' will actually teach you and help you just talk to them and befriend them, you haven't got anything to lose honestly - I also eat at least 3000 calories a day, i currently weigh 12 stone 10 and im 5ft 10

This helped a lot. I'm a 19M who weighs 130 lbs, I've got a membership at Blink Fitness and with the help of a personal trainer, I'm focusing on gaining that muscle mass. I can't believe how many misconceptions amd things I've being doing wrong. I learned it's all about progression and working your way upwards, it takes time.
Overall, eating is the problem for me, I have to eat a lot more than what I'm used to, but I'm adding more food in there.

You seriously are an inspiration. I feel seen and heard. I have been afraid to enter a gym because of my own insecurities of being skinny and not where every other guy is. All my work outs are done at home. My fear is being judged and made fun of by others. You know how it is, guys are always competing and trying to be Alpha. Thank you for the words of encouragement. To the gym we go.

This is how I did it. I was very skinny before like 6' 150 skinny. Then I started getting stronger and now I'm 170. But that's my limit. I can't seem to get bigger or stronger. I'm 45 now though and I've heard that old guys can't can't really get bigger or stronger. anyone know if that's true? (side note: I refuse to give up beer)

agree 100%; even when i started at a boxing gym i was afraid people would laugh at beginners like myself but i realized 1) 98% of people are very cool and understanding and 2) most people are focused on their own activities and couldn't care less what you are doing, lol.

I actually need someone to pull me down, what I mean is I want someone to tell me such thing as -you're not gonna make it! - -You will never gain weight skeleton! - Intentionally so it could give me some motivation to do so. I can't really exercise without motivation.

Its easy to do every workout for me the chest workouts are the hardest part, ive been bench pressing forever and i still have that bony and slanted chest that a skinny guy would have. I feel it more in my arms rather than my chest i dont know what im doing wrong

Personally don't care what anyone says about me when I do to the gum bc I'm not there to impress them. I'm there to complete my mission. as a matter of a fact. if they were to laugh or anything like that. it'll just be motivation for me to go harder.

I was a super skinny guy, I started training a few weeks ago and I'm seeing the results very fast. Trust me, nobody in the gym is gonna judge you, they're all there to build their body, they all understand why you're there and respect you.
