Chopping it Up w/LP & O2B - Powerbuilding, LA Fit Expo & Leg Day Footage Nick: I find higher reps do have a more direct correlation with size, but a mixture of increasing strength through lower rep schemes and incorporating high reps is the best imo, as opposed to just one or the other. I prefer to do like you said, e. g. Lower rep on compounds and higher on accessory, but it's hard because i also feel there's a place for higher rep on the compounds. Nothing like a set of 12-15 on back squats srs. So all in all I'm about 75% high rep 25% strength. or 80/20. haha. Dope video. 3: 07 LP looking wise af with the hood and sunglasses, spitting wisdom everywhere srs

For me I had stagnated and get into power building as a way to mix things up and it worked awesome for size, but then what happened is I got addicted to powerlifting. I went from caring about size and looks and not caring at all about strength, to caring about both, to now I care mostly about strength with just a little bit size and strength. That's why I warned you before about that powerlifting bug. :) But if done appropriately I think powerbuilding actually works really well for aesthetics but only if you stay with the program and don't gravitate too much to one side.

Like the choppin it up vids. Maybe I fell down and smacked my baaaht and I am not thinking clearly, but why are people who are in to fitness overeating 3 to 5 times what they should be and then challenging others to do the same? Maybe it is just the former fatty in me who won't let me see what's so fun or smart about it. Don't mean to be a wet dirty stained blanket, but I just don't get it. Regardless, looking forward to your next vid, always entertaining.

BRIAN this was an awesome video, going to love the Choppin It Up series. You have such big plans for 2015! And have FUNN at the expo. JEALOUS. I was actually working the Olympia in September with Quest too as an Instagrammer: P
And YASSSS I can't wait to see how you're going to do a revamped version of the 10K challenge. Better make me and Jessica Pethrus proud bby girl!

I get what O2B is saying at the beggining, but I don't completely agree. I'm personally a powerbuilder competing in powerlifting and mens physique, I think it's (to me) a matter of combining the skills rather than going 50/50. Having a physique is great but if it isn't functional it lacks (COMPLETELY MY OPINION)

This is probably my favorite series right now! The vids are pretty enjoyable, they always cover new subjects which keeps them from getting boring and they're pretty long so they keep me entertained all the way on my way to school!

I would add one suggestion for O2B on dead lift and that's controlling the weight on the way down. He lets it down super fast. Just observation, I typically do not say anything about form and such.

I kinda forgot what the whole vid was about because I was distracted by the hilariousness. John stroking you, oh so tenderly. bahahahah! Im going back to actually pay attention now. lol
