My spinal deviation hasn't been severe enough to cause a lot of concern but it has now definitely caused me to become asymmetrical and it's changed the way that I train. I'll be working on correcting this issue in the next few months but I thought I'd bring it to your attention in case any body wants to follow along or talk about their experiences in the comments! There's some big announcements coming in the next few weeks guys, lots of stuff in the air but as soon as everything is confirmed I'll be letting you guys know everything! I have about 18 degrees thoracic spinal deviation, my uncle who is a chiropractor advises swimming as often as I can at least 3 times a week, I have pain in the mornings and night when i get to sleep, in humid periods my muscles tense up. My shoulders are often sore. I want to get into calisthenics but now i also have tendinitis, now I can relate to those in pain, I'm glad and grateful, that is the best thing, relating to other people's pain. Lower spine deviation is more easily corrected but it won't be completely healed, my lower spine went from stage 2 to stage 1, my upper spine is still stage 3, but I try to have more flexibility with my uncle who is a chiropractor.

Ya man it sucks. I've had an unaligned shoulder I guess for a while and. Well I've been benching and pulling and pushing and living with my shoulder slight forward and it shows on my chest, the actual delt, and specifically my back (lats, lower and upper traps, Tera's major/minor) they're not even on both sides. It's really psychologically difficult to see it everyday without improvements. I cha feel you bro haha

Finally, found something related to scoliosis with bodybuilding. My spinal do really deviated until it affects much of my lift. I do felt more at certain side of my muscle during some movement like bench press and deadlift. Doctor here advice not to lift weights, but I choose to ignore. Hope you can do some series about this issue for the group of people with scoliosis and wanted to lift. Let's beyond the weak!

Not 100% sure what you mean by a spinal deviation, but if it's true structural scoliosis it won't be fixed by a chiropractor. If it's just that your left shoulder is higher than your right, that could be due to a number of things including handedness (dominant side will be slightly lower) or if you did a lot of overhead sports before getting into body building.

I have curvature of the spine. I have had back issues for many years, but i have always just delt with the pain. However, it recently became quite bad and after getting x-rays found out i have the curvature. The pain is pretty constant at the moment. Seen a chiro a couple of times and going to physio tomorrow to see what he says.

Hey Brian, I have a food question for you. I go to the gym and I eat a lot for lunch and dinner, but my breakfast is what I need help with. I'm 16 and I still live at home so I can't do much but I wanna ask you what could I eat for breakfast that will be really good for me? And I weigh about 130 if that helps you answer

Brian I have the flu and I have tried to hit the gym but when I go my body clearly is not capable of performing to the level before I had the flu. Is it ok if I take days off? If you miss a few days how do you make up for the days that you have missed? I feel that if I skip days I will get behind

Talking of back, I'm trying to bring up my width across my lats/shoulders. Apart from wide grip pull-ups, or wide grip lat pulldown, what exercises would you recommend? My back is ok on the depth, i have a strong row, but want to bring up that width! Help please!

You should definitely let us know more info on how to fix that type of problem. My right shoulders seems more developed and my left is a lot higher than my right. It's so annoying man! People probably can't notice it, but I do and it kills me! Haha

I have the same problem too but I haven't found a good solution for it so far. I went to the physio a lot but that only helped for the time I was going. So I'm looking forward to hear your points on it. -Stef
