I definitely think way too negatively before I attempt heavier lifts! I already fail in my mind which most of the time translates to a fail on the movement. Might try Chelsea's idea of stacking the smaller weights to trick myself and see if it helps: D

such a mental block when going for the next plates moving up in such big increments but nothing like hitting a pr of a new plate

This was great! I use all of my mental abilities for lifting, I am definitely not one to scream and make noise at the gym.
