When is the Best Time to Workout to Build Muscle? (Morning vs Evening)

The time of day in which you train is something youve probably never taken into much consideration but surprisingly, research shows that theres actually a best time of day to workout that not only provides slightly greater strength gains and boosts performance, but seems to significantly accelerate the rate of muscle growth. Therefore, choosing whether you should perform a morning vs evening workout is something you should likely consider! And long story short research tends to show that late afternoon or evening/night workouts tend to be the best time to train when compared to morning workouts. This is because in the evening, youre more hydrated, more fueled with glycogen, and most importantly your core body temperature is at its highest. Since we know that core body temperature is highly correlated with exercise performance, this is likely why research tends to show that a workout at a night trumps morning workouts. However, before you go ahead and change your workout schedule, its important to note that there are benefits to both morning and night workouts. And if you prefer morning workouts over evening workouts, then what you can do to minimize any performance decrements is simply: ingest caffeine prior to your workout, ensure youre adequately warmed up before your workout in order to raise your core body temperature, and be consistent with the time of your workout! But all in all, in the grand scheme of things, the time of your workout is not something you should stress over. Simply choose a workout time that best suits your schedule because consistency and adherence to your training program are the most important factors when it comes to what will deliver you results! I honestly feel more motivated and it kills the morning hunger and it helps me be more confident and focused about the tasks I have to do during the day, if I don't workout and the morning isn't productive I just get stressed I need to workout, I need to do this and that, and I need piles up and I don't do it because I like and I only build up stress and as a skinny fat, stress isn't motivating for me. Morning workout its great to start the day with confidence because you already feel you accomplished something. For people who really want huge muscle growth, could workout eat chill nap 2h and workout again, regulars that do it for health doesn't really matter 1% of muscle growth

Congratulations on your new gym and thank you so much for all of your quality videos. I've watched all of them and l'm implementing a lot of what I learned in my own personal workouts. I'm slowly progressing. I'm 50 years old and 64kgs and suspect have a height similar to yours (around 173cm. I'd love to know where I can get a tank top like the one's you wear in your videos.
Important question: What brand of tank top do you wear? I'm a fellow Canadian in South Korea, but I've scoured all the major sports retailers in North America and can't seem to find a decent fitting tank top like yours.

Makes no sense at all. Most people work 9-5 jobs and there's no way they would have more energy after a days work then if they could work out when they are at they're freshest. I'm self employed and I wake up when I'm ready to wake up and I work out in the morning when I have the most energy. Also I get machines when I want not when 3 people have finished who were ahead of me for that machine. I'm sorry this video is completely wrong. I'm also able to take a nap after my workout. Giving me time to recover. Most people can't do what I'm doing but this video is stating that evening workouts will give u better gains and it's just not true.

sleep well and wake up with calm mind. do some light exercises to get active. do not go heavy. morning is for our mind. drink your tea or coffee. get ready for work. do your work which also activate us. after work take a power nap. then hit the gym with heavy workout or whatever you want. but do it in evening not close to bedtime if possible. as we have to do dinner. sleep at right time. repeat

I prefer evening workout/physical gaming and morning yoga/meditation.
Late Morning bathe in winter season (Using the rule hardest work should be done first )
Evening bathe in summer.
If I am not muscle fan, I used to do these things for health and other benefits then How is it?

I prefer it better to workout in the morning and evening, i don't even know why. i think maybe it's because i want to be a better man for my crush or maybe i just workout so i can escape my depression and stressed life.

This is absolutely true, for myself the problem is, if I don't knock my workout in first thing in the morning it probably won't happen. So consistency is king for me.

Im so tired during the morning so I workout in the evening after my at desk work daily. But I get problem sleeping as my heart rate is up and Im fully awake

I study during the morning and workout in the late afternoon/evening. If I do so in the morning I just get sleepy and cant focus on my studies.

I wonder if it's because people have more time in the evening vs. rushing in the morning that they end up doing a shorter workout to get to work.
