It looked like you had it though, I was surprised you dumped the bar cause it looked like you had it Changing to an Eleiko bar would definitely help that extra bit, but they cost ridiculous amount of money that can be spent on big macs instead.

I've analyzed the video several times in great detail, and can see what went wrong with the 600 attempt: you didn't stand all the way up with it, you just kinda went 2/3 of the way up and dropped it on the floor. If you can remember next time to keep the bar on your back and stand all the way up, you should be golden mate. Hope that helps.

How did that Monster treat you? I once went 50 days with no caffeine and then had a Monster. I was literally shaking uncontrollably. LOL Damn man looked like it was going up Pretty impressive to come back right after and hit 584 actually. I remember when watching you dump weight was a weekly thing. haha

Hard luck matt for 600 squat you should've brought out the nasty side of matt or thought about somebody who you really Hate an put all your anger into that squat. I do that when am in my deadlift faze I completely black out from the room get in zone. But looking forward to your bench and deadlift tests

I don't know if it's an Australian thing, but I, and all my friends say 'mooseli'. Maybe we are just fools aha? I also had a dumb moment and when you were at McDonalds (good old Maccas for us, I thought you had literally ordered a cheeseburger with only cheese and ketchup inside.

i think you had that 600lbs Matt, i haven't seen the video after the squat fail yet im just about to watch it but my initial reaction was that you definitely had that but mate honestly you are soon super strong: ) good for you man and keep it up with your online coaching

Thanks for posting this I have only been lifting for just over a year, I get really mad at myself when I miss a PR. It's great to see advanced lifters do it too and it's a work in progress for all of us. Can't wait to see your other max tests

My gym and a couple of powerlifting gyms ban this fail tactic because it warps bars and damages equiptment Also especially its a really bad habit that can get u kicked out of most powerlifting feds for doing it. U had it though i reckon.

next time man it really looked like you got it do you think you dropped it because you were scared that you didnt have a rack to save you if you missed the lift with the bar on your back? good job on the PR

Wow amazing congratulations on the PR. my PR is 172. 5 a full 100kg below what you were attempting. I can't get my head around another 100kg on top haha stoked for you. roll on the next lot of testing
