Is My Diet Killing Me? Blood Test Results Khairul Ahmad: Matt, I suggest you watch Dr. Feigenbaum and Dr. Baraki from Berbell Medicine or listen to their podcasts. Theyre both competitive powerlifters and they often speak about nutrition, programming etc. for athletes from a clinical perspective. It would change your perspective about food. There is essentially no BAD or GOOD food, just good or bad eating habits. They also talk about creatinine levels in athletes being elevated due to muscle mass and supplementation. And how the current normal ranges of creatinine doesnt apply to athletes as they are based on the general population. Hope you find them helpful. :)

I 100% agree with what your saying Matt? people see these crazy physics that are edited and posted on Instagram and full day of eatings were the person will eat chicken and rice basically every meal and track everything. I'm new to lifting 6 months into my fitness journey people and at the start I was so convinced if I did 20 minutes of cardio a day eating clean as hell then I'd make results since dropping cardio and eating 80% - 20% clean and unclean foods I have seen a massive improvement with my muscle gain over my body. Everything in moderation people just like Matt said

Matt. From your point of view, where does one draw the line with determining what is bad food and what is considered good? Like most people say that takeout is bad food but then you can get takeout from a restaurant that makes food just like one would back at home, and many people say that homemade food is good food, when in turn I think it could be bad too. Please can you help with your view on this.

Creatine metabolizes into creatinine as a left-over waste product, which normally indicates kidney function for those with a normal diet. Taking exogenous creatine (the shit you buy in powders) throws the reading off since it's not just your body producing creatinine - - - so bodybuilders and power lifters typically show high creatinine levels on blood work even though they're entirely healthy. :)

Can t believe this mate. I did this same blood test in Bosina and they say this same things to me about (liver and kidnys that is bad protein and creatin)I stoped taking kreatin because am 15 years old. And by the way my diet is 80 clean 20% I fit some sweets but mainly(rice cakes, rice, mear, eggs, cootage chesse and fruit and veggie)Doctors confuse a lot macro protein and whey protein.

Post consumption of creatine, creatinine levels are usually increased markedly as it's a y product of the metabolism / use of creatine phosphate in the muscle. Some doctors used to almost go into shock when they measured the creatinine levels of some patients who consumed it as generally if your creatinine levels were that high it would signal serious renal issues.

Can you bulk on a vegan diet? Some can, but could you try and test it? A 6 months experimentation period, with animal products being consumed rarely (since you probably wont try a vegan test for that long. I am curious and you could provide insight on all the types of calorically dense vegan junk food out there

Did they not test your trigliceride levels or the fat levels in your blood? Usually each year I get tested for cholesterol, blood pressure, triglicerides, and insulin levels. Glad to hear you are doing well as i know those food challenges are fun every once in a while but all the time can be detrimental.
reply

I am sorry but normal cholesterol, triglycerides etc. is already deadly - its normal to die of a heart attack - 8g salt a day is normal just like high blood pressureDoctors especially in the UK dont tell you, if you get the test in paper and compare it to the ACoC guidelines you ll see

Yeah great words as usual Matt. If everyone could grasp the simplicity of flexible dieting which can include so called bad foods then there wouldn't be such a greedy fad diet industry. I do think there is a balance though and good to see you talking about it mate.
