GENETICS vs STEROIDS vs HARD WORK Abbas Güven Akçay: Genetics play a big role on physiology but not the ALL role. Your hormone levels might be lets say between 50-500 for example. And some other person's might be 300 to 700. But whether you will be at 50 or 500 or the other guy will be at 300 or 700 is based on how you live. So if you do your best and get to 500, you will be superior to a descent living freak genetics guy with 400 hormone level. Same with body structure. You wanna look good? You have average genetics but cut down to your lowest possible body fat, the other guy has insane genetics, the best in the ALL human history. But he still eating pizza all day? You will definitely look better than him. Environmental factors (how you eat, sleep, do you smoke, how clean is your environment etc) is superior to genetics. Superior genetics only works if you use the FULL potential with maximum effort, best environmental factors

When Arnold first started working out, he admired reg park. He didnt care or think about genetics, he worked his ass off to be the best anyway. Genetics is only part of it. He used the same motivation to successful in movies and politics where genetics doesnt matter as much. i think its much better mindset than i dont have good genetics so i wont ever get really big That just causes people to get demotivated. Dont waste time thinking about genetics at all, if you have a goal, work your hardest even if the goal may be out of reach. At least then you will still get as close to that goal as you can.

Loved your talk about genetics. Was very hard for me to come to terms with that idea when I first started training. Now that I have a much better understanding of the actual science I am more confident and feel better about myself every day. A lot of people avoid the aspect of mental barriers and how you feel about yourself when you train, but the simple fact is, if you feel good you will perform good. I think many more people need to realize that before they can reach their full potential. Great video as usual Matt

Lmao what? If youre skinny eat a lot and do a ton of rows and bicep curls? And obviously he couldnt get them to your size in 6 months but in a few years. A ton of pull ups and curls man. Youre a lot stronger than me and bigger tho Im not gonna day anything about your knowledge of gainz tho. And last thing, MMA is a gold spot of genetics bc while strength is a big factor there are so many variable with grappling and striking its almost a ego check and equalizer for everyone.

Mate I'm sorry but you're not fooling anybody. Look at your videos 3 years ago and you've made 10 years worth of gains in that short time and are still shredded. And rich piana in the thumbnail? That's the worst example of steroids mate he injected synthol in every part of his body. You must be crazy to think you're fooling a bunch of 25 year old men on here, that you're natural. This whole YouTube fitness guru group are all on shit lol.

Dude. bicep genetics. Where do you get this nonsense. Some theory based on your own experience. Your genetics aren't that amazing. You were reasonably athletic but basically looked like every other dorky teenager before you really started training and now you look ok. How do people spend ten years training and then get super gassed up about how 'gifted' they are. Your just bigging yourself up.

I love the cheat days and challenges you do but I love the informative advice you give out on training and other aspects of weight training. A lot is down to genetics, I feel for those like yourself (probably) being questioned are you on roids? just because you have a great physique. Well no, part maybe down to genetics the other is hard work and dedication in the gym thank you

Recently subbed to your videos - love the humor and approach you take to fitness. Also. what really caught me off guard is where you are working out. I was born and rasied in Folkestone and thought some of your videos looked like a familiar area - Well sure enough Dynamix is right down the road from Newington where I lived. Keep up the great content

Hi Matt. Keep up the good work. Sometimes being spontaneous is better because it shows us the more natural side to the fitness world, which we all know is messed up by glorified steroid users and unreachable aesthetics. You just happen to have hit the genetic lottery and you have the work ethic of an athlete, which combine to achieve success.

Everyone 'calling out the bs' claiming Matt is on steroids or has been. you don't know that, nor will you ever know. Maybe try to take people are face value and take his message away with you - 'you vs you' rather than obsessing over the notion he has taken substances just because you are unlikely to reach his body composition.
