Great video! Thanks for all the scientific info too, very interesting and useful to help visualise how the muscles work. It's also great the way you show how not to and how to do each movement. I used to do weight training years ago to compliment my Kung Fu training but then got diagnosed with slipped discs and had to stop all exercise. Years down the long and 48 my triceps are like jelly visually but they're getting stronger(I'm working on pull ups. I've bought some collagen to see if that'll help and looking into protein powders now too. Anyway, that' my fitness life story! lol; )

No way weighted dips are the only exercise you need for triceps. You can easily overload the weight and they hit all 3 heads. I laugh at guys at the gym who are doing 5 different exercises for trips like extensions, push downs, skulls crushers, kickbacks, ect with small amounts of weight and they waist an entire weight lifting session just for triceps. I do weighted dips and have big triceps that's the only tricep exercise I do plus I'm working the chest and shoulders too.

For me personally since pretty much everyone is already doing flat barbell bench presses mostly for their chest instead of having that as one of the three tricep exercises for me I would probably do Skull Crushers, Tricep pushdowns and Dips which you didn't mention at all but I think dips are an amazing exercise to finish your triceps routine off with.

with all that emphasis on bench press, wouldnt it be nice to say something about the hip version? (idk the right name of it)
but isnt that 'lower' bench press better for targeting the triceps?
(the variation where you start with the bar more aligned to your abs, opose to aligning it to your nipples, with elbows tucked)

I'm also curious, is there a benefit to bending your knees in towards your chest while doing a bench press? My weight lift is continuously increasing, 135, (female) and it seems to take pressure off of my lower back, while bending my knees up and inward, towards my tummy. Thanks!

Triceps attached to one tendon no matter what exercises you do u can't separate heads physically impossible but some exercises are better than others for safety reasons and work them more complete

Love how this video and the bicep one keep things simple and make the whole process of isolation exercises less daunting and complicated

The guy doing it wrong is still pretty ripped! As long as you exercise and not sit on your butt all day you-ll be good I think

Instead of the closer grip bench press, can I just to dips, as they both are big pushing movements with similar range of motion
