Picture this, you are a competitive swimmer. You are a hairy man (or woman) and you have been swimming like that all year long. You are a very focused swimmer so you always pay attention to how the water feels on your skin so you can correct your technique if necessary. You know the feeling of the movement of the water so well that you know when someone is right behind you, you know how deep you are under the surface just by the pressure it creates on your head. You use all that sensory input to make small changes to speed up or slow down when necessary. You have the biggest swim meet of the year tomorrow. You have been preparing for this your whole life. You decide it is time to shave for the first time, so you do. You try shaving with wax because. how bad can it be, right? You figure that is enough for that part of your body and decide to continue to shave with your razor for the rest. You almost cant sleep that night thinking about the race. You are not hungry that morning but your nutritionist says you must eat, so you forcefully do. And you put on your swimsuit to warm up. You dive in and you feel like a penguin sliding through the water with very little effort. That gives you the right amount of confidence to use your nerves to your advantage and win the race by 1 hundredth of a second with a new personal record. Shaving your body just made you win. It is calculated that shaving causes less drag and makes you swim around. 01 faster. But the real advantage is the extra good feeling it gave you in the water which causes you to be in a better mental state to race. When you shave you also take off a thin layer of dead skin cells. The new skin cells are more sensitive and give you that smooth feeling in the water. and that is why you swim faster when you shave

I love the feeling of freshly shaved legs unnhhhhh I feel like a kid again. It's great, regardless if you swim or not, if you're a girl or a guy, you should shave your legs at least once to know what it's like, and maybe even continue doing it.

I'd shave but people in my country are idiots and they'd call me gay if they would see my shaved legs In gym class. So yea that's why I don't shave.
