It's a lot harder to get a full belly breath under weight. If you get that full breath and brace before lifting the bar off of the rack and hold it through at least the first rep (or set is even better) it will help a ton. If you do need to get another breath while under weight, it helps to breathe in at the top of the rep under full extension as you can get more air in that position as opposed to when the weight is at shoulder level. And when he says squeeze you glutes you need to squeeze them like you are new meat in prison and you just dropped the soap. That will really help stabilize your core.

Hey everyone, with gyms opening up, we thought it'd be cool to do a -Back to the Gym- series. We're starting with Overhead Press, but we can really take this series anywhere. Let us know what you'd either like a refresher on, or if you'd like to try something new. STAY BUFF (and we hope your gym is open)

I used to hate overhead press. It was one of my weakest lifts, but now I really enjoy it, and it has become one of my stronger lifts. You just need to make sure to always incorporate it in your shoulder routine. Same goes for all of the compound lifts.

when the load is heavy, then this rack position will kill the guy if he or she walks back to rack the bar. She even not taking the bar in right way. her wrist will be killed.

I read there are alternatives to the overhead press, such as, sitting on a couch and eating ice-cream, whilst watching football ( proper football?

The Log Press is far superior over the straight bar overhead press & I'm not saying just because I'm training for Strongman.
