There use to be a park in Wichita Kansas called Joyland, and their version was called the Wacky Shack. I never liked scary rides and only went on it a handful of times as a kid, and each time I would always bury my face in the arm of the person I was with. One cool thing I would keep my eyes open for was at the very beginning. there were a bunch of neon glow in the dark doors that the car would bang open (I think the later removed those doors. The one thing I hated most in there was this loud truck horn that would sound at a certain point. I still remember how it was always kind of cooler (temp wise) in there and the smell of electricity. Oh, and so many people complaining about this ride. I think they missed the part where you said that it's been in operation for over 60 years. Also, it's meant to be for kids to go through. It's just good old fashion fun

I find it so funny that these Rides cost millions and millions of dollars and take years to make and they let teenagers run them that's a scary sight I mean letting someone that's old enough to run it you know I really don't believe teenager should run roller coasters because they are very immature people a lot of times and they don't care and I'm trying to get slacks and saying this but that's the truth. At least this looks like an adult running this ride I mean what do you teenagers on the kiddie rides or concessions or whatever you know don't put them on roller coasters that cost millions of dollars because you know all it takes is one screw up and you could die and don't tell me it doesn't happen cuz it does.

I went on this ride many times when I was a kid. You would go right into one house and ride around for a while then come out and ride around for a few minutes then go into another house. It seems a lot less scary now that they changed all the stuff that they could show 60 years ago but can't anymore. One time my brother jumped out of the car to go spit on one of the exhibits and couldn't find his way back, he really scared some other kids when he tried getting in their car. He came out on foot and the barker chased him halfway down the Bowery.

I live in Brooklyn and have been on this ride. It really is bad. There are two other haunted houses in Coney Island and both are way better. Being 60 years old is not an excuse. The actual effects are not bad but it's the presentation that ruins it. It's literally one big room and you can see everything when you enter. It would be very easy and cheap to partition it. Get some plywood and curtains to separate the effects and it would be so more fun and scarier.

How cute and so rustic. It's practically an antique and it is such excellent condition. Its been around just as long as Haunted Mansion. The first skeleton made me jump. Oh how it emanates nostalgiaI love the sound the buggy makes and the slight soft clicks it makes. I adore those animals. It is a bit dizzying but I have to admit it has style.

There were tons of these old school spook houses when I was a kid. Those loud click click cars, dark musty buildings, twisting tracks, & in-your-face stunts. They were always creepier than the well-designed high-budget dark rides. Spook-O-Rama is one of the very few survivors from a lost era of dark rides. Enjoy it while it lasts

I believe, most inner dividing walls, from the original state, had been taken out, and quite a lot of newer puppets moved in? (It's well packed inside there: -) ). This undoubtly is not the original state of 60 years ago, but it makes great fun: -). the most freaking thing however, is the admission price. lol
