Question for anyone who has been on Space Mountain before I'm going to WDW with my boyfriend in September. Last time we went, we rode the Mine Train and LOVED it, but that's basically the fastest, most thrilling ride I've ever been on. I've heard that Space Mountain is technically slower and less intense based on actual mechanics but is a way more intense ride experience. I'm really afraid to ride it because I'm afraid it'll be too much for me and the BF. We're not intense roller coaster people. Opinions/advice?

I didn't see the stars stuff at WDW, wonder if they're different or if this is new. Also I went on the ride a couple of times many years ago when they had the lights on inside, wow did that completely ruin the experience. Also you notice how relatively close the tracks are together, like not in a dangerous way obviously but the whole setup looks much much smaller when you see everything well lit, it really ruins it.

The track for Space Mountain in Disney World is way more visible than the one in Disneyland. It also seems way more faster. I can't tell which one's better until I actually go to the one in Disney World since I have never been to Disney World. You can hear the audio way better on Space Mountain in Disneyland though. You can barely even hear the audio in the one in Disney World.

Will you guys ever do full experience videos of rides that have a pre-show and/or an immersive queue? I love these low light videos, but I hate having to miss out on all of the other aspects of the rides that I love.

It is funny how your heart starts beating fast when you are in line at roller coasters like this for the first time Even though you know it is not going to hurt you, you feel scared, but it is all part of the thrill

Noo They removed the whiiriiririririririri sound effect near the end before the light tunnel my favorite part of the ride was the incredible sound design, and they replaced it with a bland soundtrack

I wish they'd update this ride to the HyperSpace Mountain version like the one in Hollywood. i'm sorry but those cars and that soundtrack is WAY outdated.

you're camera beats my eyes lol. I've never been able to see it all so vividly. Thanks for this and all your postings. hope you get to do dinosaur too
reply

Yeah, your camera is great at dark rides. Great videos and nice stabilization as well as knowing where to point and shoot on the fast rides. Great job

Lol I just want on that ride today for the very first time. Both versions are great, but personally I think California offers a better experience.
