It's pretty boring for 2 major reasons. 1, it's just the characters singing and nothing interesting ever happens during the ride. and 2, The scenes are very simple. Sure the animatronics look great but every scene is one or two characters with a blue background and the wall on the other side of the boat has absolutely no theming, it's just a blank wall. Being on the ride it all looks very simple and bland. How did this take them 20 months to convert? They built all of new fantasyland in that time, all of Galaxy's edge, etc. But it took them 20 months to strip out Maelstrom, use the same track and hang the bare bones frozen theme in this place?

The movements of the animatronics truly are beautiful and fluid, but this ride was the test subject to what became the Navi River Journey. This ride has a lot of elements, but the story doesnt make sense with the track as its track was made as Maelstrom. Disney truly hit the jackpot with the Navi River Journey, the Navi Shaman animatronic has a gorgeous face and super fluid movements without those projected faces.

May I ask, what kind of camera you are utilizing? I have tried various camcorders, action cams, etc. etc. but I can never get good low light settings while in motion. Still pictures there are plenty of tutorials online, but not so much for videos. Any camera suggestions or settings would be greatly appreciated. You have some of the best POV's for the darker rides on Youtube.

This ride doesn't belong in Epcot. This is yet another example of modern Disney management just looking for a way to make some money. Maelstrom was made to highlight actual Norwegian lore and felt genuine, AKA how Epcot World Showcase is supposed to be instead of movies. It looks like a good ride but it should be in Magic Kingdom, not Epcot, a permanent World's Fair

Eh, it's cool, but nothing worth waiting more then 30 minutes for, I haven't ridden it yet but I will next time I go to Disney World, but there's no story, the drop is just there, and there's too many screens. Not a bad ride but I miss Maelstrom and prefer it, maybe my mind will change when I ride it but I don't know man.

I went there in the summer when it was brand new not the best ride. I waited in line with my family for over an hour and the ride itself was plain and not the best overall design The ride was super short about 5 minutes or less I recommend not to go if the waiting time is 30+ mins

I'm from Slovenia but seeing this rides broughta tear to my eye ( I still remember this ride ). One more week and we are going to America for the Holidays. My biggest dream is to move to Orlando and leave my fin country. I LOVE YOU AMERICA #NEVER GIVE UP YOUR DREAMS

Looks like the boarding area was moved to where people got off the Malestrom ride vehicle, and there were some slight track extensions making the right a bit longer than the previous one. Otherwise, it used the same ride vehicles, track and ride system.

I actually think this looks pretty good. I'm going to check this out when I go back to Epcot someday. Tho I wish I could have done malestorm more. Because I did it when I was very little and I don't remember it. But I'm glad there is videos.

Cool ride. A shame there was a person flashing his or her camera. This is so not cool. Why are some people still doing that? Think of others Don't spoil the Magic for other people. Don't be so selfish.
