I feel like an elitist snob. Sorry man, y'all are in this case. It's pretty disrespectful to everyone else there, and to the place itself. Leave no trace also means how your impact affects everyone else travelling through the area, and in this case it's a pretty large negative. You clearly feel it, and mention it a few times in the video, so I'm not faulting you as a person. In this particular case it seemed like the wrong decision. Flying to the parking lot, sure. Why not take advantage of a dude having a heli. Flying to literally the base of the route, pretty not great. I hope you guys consider use ethics a little more in the future.

These guys are funny I love how they get after it! As a mountaineer, I think its super cool they approached it with the bird. Regarding ethics, the issue to me really is whether the other party were still on the road, or were they climbing up already. I have accessed this line with the snowmobile, and dont consider it cheating. Most people fly into Denali at 7000+ feet, and if successful, say they climbed Denali. They really only climbed on Denali. As unethical and inaccurate as rich guys saying they built a house when other people built it. If the other party of there were already on slope THAT would be pretty reprehensible.

Firstly, we are not a wasteland and a visit to our area with respect would clear that ignorance right up. I was born here. I have skied all the major peaks in the Rubies here over thirty years. This fly richy rich scene you are bringing is why our sport is turning into another elite, money game. Some thing wrong with your outlook guys. sadly, it's not righteous anymore!

Man a lot of hate on this video. I will say I am jealous and envious of these guys but the fact i even get to go outdoors is amazing. Not all of us grew up with this privilege. So as long as they acknowledge they are privileged as hell that's what matters. I'd also like to see them give back to the outdoors too. I mean how does one even afford a helicopter? When you've grown up poor and can barely afford a car. I an just happy I can drive and hike to beautiful places

And if the bottom would be in poor condition or the rimaye too wide open, one could decide to land further up in order to enjoy only the best part! Actually theres no limit except imagination! Fortunately just a minority can afford it, and all of them are not mountain amateurs! A surprised French amateur

How is it that no one else in the comments finds it offensive and self-serving to FLY A HELICOPTER to the very base of the route! Elitist snob(3: 15) and line cutting guilt (5: 35) indeed! This really throws the essence of backcountry skiing out the window! I can only hope the sentiment behind this assisted ascent does not become a more widespread trend.

You guys should try the white mountain hut traverse, a legendary challenge for those who work in the white mountain huts. Its 52 miles of the hardest terrain of the Appalachian Trail with over 25000 feel of elevation gain.

Can I suggest Matterhorn Peak on the Sawtooth Ridge in the Eastern Sierra? Incredible scenery on the hike in and apparently famous with backcountry skiers.

Gives me an adventure bone stiffie! It's a cool line. When I skied it solo one spring there were moguls in the thing. No chopper though.
