Bryce will always be my #1. That first time you step to the end and look down, it takes your breath away. Walking up from the bottom will also do that too.
Still kicking myself for not going to Dry Tortugas when we visited Florida, and somehow can't justify another trip just for it when there are other places I wanted to go. Now the real question is where is Olympic NP on your list? Perhaps the most diverse and oddly has everything national park? Great road, fantastic ridge, lake, superb beach, magnificent view, epic rainforest, and exceptional lake side lodging. Love your videos, if there is one thing I would love to see more of in your videos are more about the historic lodges in the national park system, love staying in them, and they are always one of the highlights of our park visits.

Another great video, Josh. An excellent quick-view of the jewels of our continent. Ranking them is impossible, as so much of it is dependent on time of year, wildlife encounters, weather, and so forth. And I find that return visits to the parks really elevate some way up the list (Glacier, Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Yellowstone, the Utah parks, while dropping others down the list after the amazing first impression. Nevertheless, the 56 I've been blessed to see have ALL been worth the effort! It will be interesting to see your ranking video now, and then maybe challenge you to make another one in a decade or two after you've visited some of them multiple times, just for comparison. Happy continued travels!

Josh, this was a really nice summary of the parks that you've been to. I've been to a similar number. When you visit Wind Cave NP and Badlands NP make sure to include Custer SP, which is worthy of NP status itself. (You'll spend more time at CSP than either NP) Also, when you revisit Kenai Fjords NP and take that boat tour, make sure that you go on one of the longer 6. 5 hour tours that go out to Aalik Glacier, and not one of the 3 hour bay tours. You see FAR MORE on the longer tour. Lehman Caves at Great Basin is interesting, but everything pales in comparison to Carlsbad Caverns, so don't expect it to be like that.

Great compilation. Over the years I visited many of the parks you've mentioned on trips from the Netherlands and while I enjoyed most of my park experiences, the last time I visited Yosemite Valley I vowed I would never ever return there. Eventhough the valley is stunning, at the time I was there there were roadworks going on, so many busses everywhere and was it just so crowded, I couldn't enjoy myself. I did really like the much less crowded section of the park higher in the mountains like Olmsted Point and Tenaya Lake.

Just finishing my 2nd trip through the Utah parks (headed to Grand Canyon tomorrow) and a few lesser known can't miss destinations in and around the parks are Kolob Canyons, Cedar Breaks NM in Brian Head, Cottonwood Canyon Rd. from Tropic to Big Water, Vermillion Cliffs NM Rt 89A in Arizona (from Page to Kanab or vice versa, the Burr Trail to Bullfrog/Notom and Cathedral Valley/Hartnet Trail in Capitol Reef. La Sal mountain loop, Abajo mountain trail off Needles, Valley of the Gods, the Moki Dugway and Muley Point

I've visited 13 of your 32 and agree all I've seen are beautiful. It's kind of hard when you live on opposing coasts - you in California and me in South Carolina as we tend to visit areas closer to us. There are some amazing places also in the NE part of the country - many of which we visited during our time in the military and stationed in the NE. We certainly have an amazing country to call home.

Great summary! I have the same top two. However, we live closest to the Smoky Mountains so that is my number three. I have spent a lot of time there and it is truly special. If you ever go back during the summer, try Cades Cove on a Wednesday. They close the road to vehicles, but you can bike or hike the loop. Its much more enjoyable that way!

Did you reveal your favorite so far? My favorite NP experiences include walking the open beaches of Point Reyes, riding horses in Yellowstone, and staying in the historic Old Faithful Inn and watching Old Faithful Geyser by moonlight from the Inns balcony. Good luck with the rest of your journey and thank you for taking us along with you.

Josh, this is a really terrific compilation. But I'm not sure how you'll be able to rank them. Since, as you showed and even admitted today, each park has unique and incomparable features, it would be like trying to rank your children by how much you love them. Can't wait for the sequel to begin, now knowing the long-term objective.

My only qualm with your picks is Shenandoah. You have to go back and do more hikes! It's my backyard park so I'm mildly obsessed lol. Hawksbill, Bearfence, White Oak Canyon, Jones Run Falls/Doyles River. the list goes on and on! I've been to 13 parks, I can't wait to see the memories I have when I hit 32!

Great video. Thank you for sharing your experiences at these various national parks. I've been to 27 parks so far and my favorite is Yellowstone. It was the park I visited most growing up. Those experiences made me fall in love with our national parks and I hope to visit all of them as well.

Love from Mississauga, Ontario! You covered 32 parks in just under 18 minutes. That is an awesome achievement only second to your actually visiting all those parks. We have US' Great Smokey Mountains, Yellowstone, Mount Rainier, Washington, Yosemite, and Everglades in our bucket list.

Thank you for posting. Loved seeing all the beauty. Some great information linking to longer videos is such a wonderful idea, however is it possible to put the state on the title of each clip, under the name of each park, for people who don't know the U. S. A. please.

Bryce Canyon Navajo loop/queens garden and Yellowstone and Yosemite any hike are my all time favs, but honorable mention to pinnacles. Its beautiful and intimate and the caves are amazing. Also Lassen. The kings falls loop was my fav hike there.

Love your videos man. Crazy how the mighty 5 in Utah is so diverse. I've been to maybe 12 national parks and hope to hit all 63 as well. I've devoted more time in the mighty five in Utah, Glacier, Yellowstone and Grand Teton. Good job!
reply

Hey Josh, you gotta come up and visit Grand Teton NP. Weve been going up every year for the last 20 years! Would love to see what you think. We have lots of recommendations there too if youd like. Loved this video, great work yet again!

The fact that you havent been to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park should be a crime the rest of Hawaii island has a lot to offer too. Akaka falls, rainbow falls. Umauma falls is one of the most breathtaking things youll ever see.

I have so many great National Park memories, but one of my favorites was doing an unplanned climb of Unicorn Peak in Yosemite and calling my dad in Alaska from the summit so he could share in the experience.

You've got great videography skills, and the info you share is so helpful! I've been following along on most of your journey, so it's neat to see pieces of the videos in a compilation! Thanks!

I love your videos! They're so calming and informative! I'm from Europe and haven't been to the US yet so it's nice to see the parks through your lens (hence your name here )
