Lakeland, Florida - City on the Move A city that now hires xcons because the government gives them millions to do so. A city that is building lots of section 8 and low income housing all for the money they get from the government. A city where you pay more for electric because of their cluster f ck. A city that has went straight down the shitter. I have lived here all my live and its now a shitty place to live if you are not living out side the city. For god sake dont believe this video. Unless you have money and can live away from the city or live in a gated community where they tell you what you can do on your own property dont move to Lakeland. Crime rate is high. The homeless are everywhere and you have a begger on every corner. Do your research folks this video is to get you here so they can get your money.

Worst place to live been here 6 years and polk county police are the worst racist ones. theres no jobs other than dirty pruduction wharehouses that kill the shitt out of you and they dont wanna pay a fair rate.
About buying a house think twice all they are is cheap ass press wood
Wich is also empty all over arround
without even bricks walls
the only bricks ull see on new build houses in lakeland florida are the pavers on the driveway. when u buy a house in florida u dont became a home owmer
U became a owner of a
Particle board vinyl siding paper wrapped wood box.
Thats all i have to say thank you and your wellcome

My Family moved here in 1963 and it was a nice place and now with all the northerners it's become a real septic tank and the city commission has lost one of its spokesman And gun dealer Mike Dunn whom Murderded a man by shooting him in the back and hasn't been tried and that was 27 months ago well you get the idea about Lakeland its changing rather fast in a slippery slope to hell

I been here since 1981 and if I had to do it all over again I would save more money because it's cost to much for rent, houses, and everything else people are great. roads are getting crowded. I wish it was back in the 1950s. I miss a lot of people I know have passed on. it's like any other town it's what you make it. so that being said, it's pretty nice here.

I was born and raised in Lakeland and still living in the city and I must say it’s amazing. The city feels like it’s the size of Orlando, but at the same time it’s still very quite and not to busy. It’s the perfect place to live in my opinion no matter if you love the city life, small town life, or just like the feeling of the suburbs

To the person that said show the hood, I had to drive thru the hood to get to Lakeland Regional Health where I worked. Love how only the few good aspects of Lakeland are shown. Been here 18 yrs and will be relocating to another friendly clean state where people are not rude & the air is clean. Don’t relocate here to Lakeland not worth it.

I still live in NY. I have family from the Bronx STILL in Lakeland now getting close to 50 years! We started visiting them in early to mid 70’s every year. I remember when right off 540, 98 in the 1970’s. nothin but orange groves. Orange groves everywhere. Started getting really built up mid-late 80’s. Now the 5 th borough of NYC. LOL.

Can you do a better video for jacksonville, I work in every part of florida and Jax has a lot compared to everywhere else. 95 is in the dead center of town and shows nothing but trees, 22 sections of town. I love your videos, I show them to my kids and co workers. Everyone wants a detailed Jax video please.

Forgot to mention the hoards of homeless people. To much building and little to nothing being done to the road infrastructure that can't support the amount of growth happening. Been here 22 years and while it has some great things that are iconic, its becoming less and less desirable to live here.

Yea Terry Hunter or Rooster you are rite the city commission sold the Hospital and now we dont have extra money comming in oh and they are tearing down the power plant this month it starts also they are building a park on the chemical laden old train switching yard yea most them got shit for brains

Good vid: ) I'd work on your script cuts a little. kind of abrupt and bouncy, lol not trying to offend. But for anyone wondering, the city really does look like this. It's a decent spot between Tampa and Orlando. Hit those spots for the touristy fun, and come home to some quietness.

City Manager is overreaching on authority. Imposing mask mandates AGAIN! This city needs major help with managing dollars and 'common sense' Locals need to start attending meetings and speak out. Ask questions. Demand answers.

Lakeland is a very nice city. You have your trouble spots but what city doesn’t I have lived here for almost 50 years from New York City and I’ll take Lakeland any day. I live on the south side much quieter.

the best thing I did was move from this city nothing to do, I live in Hallandale Beach Fl which is close to Miami and Hollywood Beach Fl the night life is great it's a lot of jobs that's available and paying good.

Hey! Looks as if Lakeland is a nice place to live. Wait! It is! Lived here since Sept 1973. Try Fat Jacks or Reesecliff for fine, affordable dining. Publix IS where shopping really is a pleasure. 2/6/2021.

Born and raised. Its the being between 2 major cities with tourist attractions that's causing all this growth. All cities have good or bad. Its still home. Most of my family is here.

Had a great time living in Lakeland fl but it’s definitely small town with nothing to do, I move to Hallandale beach fl close to Miami the best thing I did its way much better.

Traffic is horrible because too many ppl from other states are moving here every day& it's getting too congested! There's not enough space for everyone who wants to move to Florida!

1 another great vid -- so Polk Co. is the #1 citrus producer in Florida! Wow, would have guessed further east around the Indian River. Always enjoyable content.
reply

There are no JOBS here. Do not move here. You'll be miserable and rent is as high as New York. Zero entertainment. Oh traffic towards Orlando and Tampa is atrocious.
reply

Coming here for my flight school from India. Was afraid checking out all the bad news about shootings and gang violence. Finally something positive.
reply

Yeah you County Commissioners need to be took out behind the barn and have your ass beat you built 12 subdivisions within a 5-mile radius of my house.

If we could get rid of our commie judge and mayor we would be an awesome town too, yep San Antonio Texas is now a commie town thanks to obama bin laden

i live here and i love the city but i hate the fact that is becoming a big city. i used to live in chicago and i moved here cause i hate big city living.
reply

When I first moved here to LKND S Florida Ave was not busy at all, now it is very backed up, so we take Cleveland Heights Blvd near Lake Hollingsworth
reply

getting waaaaayyyyy too crowded. Too many buildings going up, houses everywhere, roads can't handle the cars. Commissioners don't care.
reply

We are moving here I’m retired Veteran 51 disabled with family looking for a 2 or 3 bedroom home to rent or seasonal or rent to own.
reply

Look at that Amazon fulfillment center. Imagine if every product in that building was made in America from global materials
reply

I grew up in Lakeland and I have to say after being away for 10 years, I’m moving back in a few weeks and I’m excited
reply

Lakeland has got to be leading florida for most homeless camps and aggressive panhandlers. It's getting out of control.
reply

Once you've seen downtown. you've mostly seen it all. Not a lively town at all, more for retired elderly folks.
reply

I'm sorry, it looks like suburban Snoozerville to me. Maybe in fifty years it'll be something to see.
