I went to Ringling School of Art in Sarasota in 1963! I loved it, but it has changed! It still has a lot to offer but Long Boat key used to be beautiful and natural and I wish money had not been the winning factor! Also the sugar industry and others have poisoned the waters on both coasts and huge algae blooms cause sea life death and toxic air to breath! Everybody seems to live with it, as if it's natural, and they don't realize we're all frogs in a slowly heating pot! We're learning how to get use to the heat, but eventually we'll be cooked!

Bought a vacation home in Sarasota 14 years ago but sold it last year. The last few years, traffic jam, concrete everywhere, massive malls emerging. I saw this gorgeous town changed from a pretty quiet and peaceful seaside town to an extremely busy, crowded (car and people) place. Also, the surrounding area has traded his beauty and tropical vegetation for concrete, massive malls, and roads. I remember Siesta beach been a beautiful beach but few years ago the town thought it was a good idea to pour concrete everywhere.

You only showing very rich areas of Sarasota, and above always looks pretty but not exactly like it in reality! Why don’t you film every day traffic or downtown streets filled with poor homeless people, construction going on and on for years everywhere, red tied, bacteria cost someones death ! And beaches are not crowded It’s a lies!

Florida is a mess! I left in April 2019 to retire in Georgia. Lived there 49 years, it's ruined! When I drive down to visit my daughter in Ft. Myers traffic is horrible from Tampa right down through Sarasota/Bradenton! As soon as I cross the Florida line, the drivers become rude and impatient. Y'all want overpriced, you can have Florida!

Yes, watching this one for the 3rd time! I have a lifelong friend in Sarasota, and though I have been to Tampa, Clearwater, never down to Sarasota, so I am excited that is one of the stops I will stay a few days or a week here! I can hardly wait to scooter around and also roller skate outside! :)

A great place to live for sure! We moved here three years ago and can't get enough of Sarasota, the surrounding area, and of course the boating and fishing. For those of you with a sense of adventure, book a charter trip, it will be an unforgettable experience for you and your family.

It took me 25 minutes to drive to my charter boat on north Lonboat Key from Golden Gate Point at 6 AM and 2 hrs to drive home at 4 PM. So, I would work on my boat till 8: 30 PM and get home by 9AM. That didn't leave much time for enjoying the vaunted Sarasota Lifestyle

First time ever in Sarasota me and my wife had a great time. We left home it was cold and snowing out! Landed at the airport and couldn't believe how beautiful the weather was. I can't wait to go back!

Recently moved to Orlando from NYC, I love FL, but Sarasota is absolutely a beautiful city. People complain about how expensive is, trust me, The Bronx is way more expensive than Sarasota.

I live near Fruitville Road and McIntosh Road. I moved from New Jersey and I am never moving back. Trick to living in Sarasota is make sure you work hard and get a good job.

My family are very lucky and proud to call Sarasota a 2nd home. Great weather year round to get out of the Pittsburgh winters. I wouldn't pick too many places over Sarasota.

Stayed in long boat keys in 2005, very beautiful, as is Florida itself but the world is big and has many beautiful places to visit. I may return one day.

Totally agree Geddeypuss. I’m a Florida native and moved to Utah 3 years ago and boy was it the best decision of my life. Florida is horrible!
