Do take your ear buds out when your walking around. I see so many girls always with music on. Use not only your eyes but your ears as well. Be aware of your surroundings at any time and don't get yourself sneeked upon.
Another tip for travelling in the Middle/far East and India is to avoid slim line short skirts, colourfull make up and perfume: it's an inviting sign to young men and they are rude sometimes. It can also be offending to older men who think it is inappropriate for women to dress like that. Same goes for walking about without a male companion.
Don't wear high heels because you can't run if you must. Don't wear flip flops either and for the second reason: streets in poor countries are sometimes very filthy which makes you end up with some strange infection.

I love that you made this video, Ive loved all of the Wolters Worlds videos that Ive seen so far. Im so sad that this video has to exist. It should just be safety for travelers, but our world still treats and victimizes women differently than men. It should be mentioned that men can, and should, be looking around for solo female travelers in case the mere presence of a male might help (dont be aggressive in helping, thats what the police are for. the goal is her safety both physically and mentally. Men need to remember that we created the patriarchy and its our responsibility to dismantle it.

This is great! I am building out a 1988 chevy van home to travel and work in film and tv and I have been worried bc I am a solo female traveler so I really want to make sure I take extra safety precautions. Thank you for making a video for fellow women. It can be a battle to be a woman in this world but we are so much safer if we have each other's backs

Beware men behind you on a crowded bus! We were in Rome and this sleezy guy was rubbing on me! Fortunately a beautiful Italian woman saw him knew I was in trouble, she blasted him with words I didnt know and he scooted out at the next stop! I thanked her profusely while she apologized for the sleezy guy being Italian! Mom and were more careful after that!

Some good tips, but I really have to say that your comment about people wearing Daisy Dukes, and nobody needs to see that was incredibly judgmental, and unnecessary. Some people are comfortable in them, thats their life, not yours, let them live it. Suggesting to dress modestly is one thing, but your tone was entirely uncalled for.

(What) Time (is it? Is an awesome confuse question, for the simple fact that most people are so used to check the time via smartphone that they almost automatically move their hand downwards to get their phone from their pocket or move their arm towards themselves to look at their watch.

Dont go to bars at night, you can do that at home. A waste of money and dangerous. Dont travel alone. Wear your passport on your body under your shirt next to your skin not in your purse, bag, carry on.

Y'know, I feel like a pretty confident solo traveler but there are a few good tips I never thought of. The local grocery bag, knocking on he hand, and the question. that safety question is genius.

These are the reasons why I prefer cruising where there are over 2, 000 other people around and all that I need, that is, food, transportation, and shelter are all on the cruise ship, done.

If you are single, do you suggest wearing a simple ring on the wedding finger to give the impression that you are married to avoid potential stalkers/opportunists?
