Free things to see in (or near) Las Vegas-
Mt. Charleston: it's a 30-40 minute drive. On the road up my thermometer read 103 degrees. When I got to the top it read 55 degrees and was misty. Careful, it's snowy in the winter.
Red Rocks (Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area): way west on Charleston/Blue Diamond road.
Clark County Wetlands Park (East on Tropicana a couple miles east of Boulder Hwy): nature preserve.
Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve (just south of Wetlands Park): just what the name implies.
Lake Mead
Hoover Dam
Lake Las Vegas

really nice person and video. Vegas is Expansive. nice place to visit short time. But jobs don't pay to living cost. new york or cal where they do pay more. i feel Vegas is a bit over valued short lived. others have good opinions that i respect but i suggest other more concrete cities such as new york or cal more of a balance of family and professional living more opportunities in new yrk or cal.

Far from free but you might not know and would definitely help if you said, if you take a helicopter tour you are supposed to tip, contrary to the $400 flight, pilots and ground crew don't make much. (some might even work for free) and if you're wondering how much, $5-10 per person in your party is fine.

Just be careful with the shops. I'd done a lot of traveling that year and surprised some friends in Vegas one year so I wanted to make it a cheap trip. We ended up in the Shops at the Miracle Mile. Found the Wyland Gallery and left Vegas about $5k. well. richer in art.

I used to like the pirate show, sad that is gone. One free thing I love is the Bellagio arboretum. It is forever changing and so nice to see. I love the free stuff, makes me feel better about my other spending: -)

I like like 3hours away from Vegas I have family there and I been visiting Vegas every scenes I was a baby XD we are a poor family we don't have much money but we do a lot there with out spending so much

I have been to Vegas only on business. The first thing I found out was that if I arranged business meeting at 8: 00 AM, I could get an eggs and steak breakfast for about $4. 00

Last few years Las Vegas gone downhill. Soon they will charge for drinks in casino and for toiletries in room. Corporations have no idea what customer service is.
