I was in Vegas with my mom and wherever she could, she gambled. She got free wine and vodka and discounts on some drinks. There were half naked ladies (which was easy to ignore) but was kinda annoying because everywhere you went, someone was in a bikini. It was very cold too. People smoked weed and you could smell it. Someone would smoke, walk past you, and you would smell the marijuana. The drunks were just walking around being crazy. But it was very nice at night walking down the strip and seeing the city lights. They were on all night and people did what they wanted 24/7 like you explained. Nothing really closed, and people never got tired. The food was very good. The MGM grands restaurant was good. But there were other good restaurants. You could experience anything there. Zip line through caesars palace (I thing it was Caesars palace it was probably a different mall. I went to new designer clothes shops (Luis. V, Balenciaga. It was very nice in Las Vegas.

We stayed at the Monte Carlo now MGM Park for years and not so much now the slots arent as loose at that end of the strip as they were, but anyway now we stay at the Treasure Island so going and coming we tell the taxi you get $25 that is it tip the whole thing and they get you there in good time. I dont know about downtown havent stayed there since the Grateful Dead and Santana played in 1990.

Not much of a gambler, but I dug the buffets, all the lights, and had the best takoyaki and okonomiyaki (taste and cheap price) just off the Strip. But holy shit was it hot. Way too hot at the time to even walk all the way from one end of the Strip to the other, it was obscenely hot even at night. Also the driving seemed worse than CA, which is saying something.

About the taxi price, we had a Grand Canyon airplane tour and the bus to the airport was included. So, they didn't come to our bus stop and we needed to take a taxi (they refunded us later. Anyway, we asked for the expected price to the driver and the actual price was exactly the double. So we didn't see us as a devil when we have chosen no tips

If I had to add a sixth Hate - Don't expect to meet ANY nice locals there. Every time I've been to Vegas there's some mean jerks out there. I don't know if it's cause of the gambling, the vices, or what not. But you hear about all these fantastic countries where locals are so kind and friendly to tourists? TOTAL opposite here.

If you live in Southern California like I do in San Bernardino, I just drive my own vehicle here and where I have my own transportation while there. It is better to stay at hotels off of the strip to save a little money too.

Uber and Lyft are now available from the airport. Located at passenger pick parking lot floor 2M. Stay downtown to limit the crazy resort fees. The price of food and alcohol is much less downtown and downtown is great.

Hotel rooms do not have refrigerators or microwaves, so bring a cooler, and don't bring back leftovers from restaurants. Big hotels need to charge for food and drinks, so they frown on you having your own.

The Breakfast at dinner part; there are lots of chain restaurants that serve breakfast all day. Denny's, Big Boy restaurants, Cracker Barrel(which is a recent addition to Vegas, Waffle House, IHOP, etc.
