You forgot to mention the food. and the excellent wine produced on the island. and the short 3 mile trip to Lumbarda for its beaches. water taxis available for nearby islands. as well as many hidden coves for swimming near Korcula. the hill behind you is easy to walk up or drive to and has amazing views of the old town. the opposite side of the island is Vela Luka, also a place worth seeing. please let me know the next time you go there. I'll hook you up with a well known local musician who is extremely knowledgeable about this beautiful place.

We'll be heading to Croatia this summer, so if we head to this island then I'll check it out! We visited before and found the beaches to be really difficult so we headed towards Nin which had some beautiful sandy stretches and a lovely old town. The beaches of Zadar looked like a load of concrete had been crushed and used. Not nice even though it's a great city for visiting. Great content again, especially in regards to the pesky sea urchins you find there.

The story you mentioned of the women putting on the uniforms to look like more people are there, reminds of the scene in Home Alone where kevin has the cardboard cutouts to distract the burglars

We were there in July last year for only a day and loved it. We would like to go again and btw. our kids as well as ourselves did love the Marco Polo Museum. ;)

The tourist idea was great, anyone caught damaging property or being a loud obnoxious arsehole should be tied up to the shaming pole.

Korcula was the only island I chose when in Croatia and I loved it so much. Rented a scooter to see the island is a great way to do it!

Wherever you go in Croatia, everything is beautiful. Every town and city has it's own interesting history and culture and tradition.

We were there last May. It was so beautiful and hardly any other folks there in May. We had our pick of tables next to the water.
