Whether you are hitting the beaches of Brazil, Florida, Greece, or Australia there are a few mistakes that travelers make when going to the beach. Here we go through some of the don'ts of a beach vacation, or what you should never do on a beach vacation, or what you should not do on a beach vacation. From getting reservations, to beach gear, to reusing other people's private snorkel equipment. Filmed on Tybee Island, Georgia with views from many beaches around the world

The beach is near and dear to my heart. One of my favorite beaches is Kahaluu Beach Park in Kona, Hawaii. There are sea turtles all over. Plus, it has a beautiful reef with lots of fish. They have rocks from taking you out with the rip tide if they show up. It's great for families.
Littering is a huge pet peeve of ours. It ruins a perfectly good beach. We saw a beer can 1500 feet under the ocean during our sub ride. The trash goes places that it shouldn't. Too many people think out of sight out of mind

I grew up in Florida and we went to the beach all the time growing up and nobody said anything about the baby powder, I bet my uncle could've used that advice wearing his bikini, he's always been an odd duck but it was quite embarrassing for us nieces. We acted like we didn't know him. I guess nobody had any nice cars at the time for the sand to matter but it is irritating with all that sand on your feet while driving or just being a passenger.

As someone who lives near the beach, it is faster for me to walk to the beach than try to find a place to park, I wholeheartedly agree when it comes to parking. There are beach cities that are known to make most of their annual budget on parking tickets. Remember if you are towed you will not only have to pay the towing fee, the impound fee, and the parking ticket.

We were pleasantly surprised that we were still able to do our annual trip to Huntington Beach, California last month. The resort we always stay at is very outdoor oriented, so we got lots of sun. Despite having to wear masks on the plane, flying out there from Colorado. wasnt as scary as we thought it might be.

Having Irish skin and living in San Diego, I have learned to take a look at the UV Index a day or two before my beach trips. Even with sunscreen, going to the beach when the UV Index is 10 or 11 always results in a burn. I try to go in the morning hours when the index is only a 7 or 8.

If you're coming to Northern California during te summer months (June - August, take heed of the words of Mark Twain: The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco. The fog and low overcast can be unrelenting and it is utterly bone chilling.

Isle of Palms in South Carolina was really great because it was right next to Charleston and other attractions. We had a great time at the Aquarium, Drayton Hall, and other sites. Brunch at the Francis Marion Hotel was delicious.

Another fine Wolters World video and yes the sand gets really hot. So cool that we were at Tybee Island within a week from each other. My kids are informing me that we need to get back to the beach before school starts: .

Talking about not leaving garbage behind while the guy behind you is having to pick up some schmucks trash - perfect timing! Carry in - Carry out!
Best beach in the world: Siesta Key, Florida!

I'm not too into beaches, I'm more into swimming pools. It's probably because the lake I went swimming in the first 14 years of my life was nice but not nearly as pristine as a swimming pool.
