we head to Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom after the park finally reopens! This is our favorite Disney World park so we were definitely excited to see what's new and what it's like now that park safety procedures had changed. We started the day with a look at some of the physical distancing markers, crowd levels and ride wait times in Pandora: World of Avatar. The amount of distancing markers made me feel like they may be increasing the park's capacity at some point. There were way more markers than guests on this day for sure! The crowd levels were very very low which made it super easy to stay distant from other guests in the park. We also took a look at the relaxation zones in the park, Animal Kingdom only has two mask free zones, where as Magic Kingdom has three. Then we saw our first characters in the waterway on a pontoon boat, it was really neat how they're handling the characters in Animal Kindgom! I like it a lot honestly and hope they continue to do things like this in the future. We also ride our first ride of the day, Kilimanjaro Safari! We had a great safari ride and I did feel safe with the barriers they've installed between the rows but the barriers did make it harder to see the animals on the safari. After the safari we found a pin trading location and we talked to the castmember about the new pin trading procedures, it seems like it should be pretty similar as it was in the past, just with less contact. I'm just happy guests are still able to pin trade! It's such a fun activity to do while at the parks. Afterwards we head back to Dinoland USA and take a ride on Triceratops Spin to see what the park's crowd level looks like from a little higher up. We also see some Wilderness Explorers badge locations and give some info about how they're handling that activity now. Then we see some more characters as we head out of the park. I was impressed with how many characters we actually saw today! We saw Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Goofy, Chip & Dale, Daisy Duck, Donald Duck, Launchpad McQuack and Rafiki from the Lion King! All in all, it was a great day, and I hope this vid will help you if you're planning on visiting Disney's Animal Kingdom in the near future!

It's cool that the lines for the rides and stuff are empty but it also looks sooo. Freaken boring it is so sad that everything is diferent now and I think this is the new normal right? So we might have to get use to it, as for myself I guess I'm done with visiting the Magic Kindom and Disneyland I use to love this places but it looks like the Magic is gone.

i really dont get how disney is open right now. how can you fully enjoy yourself at DISNEY WORLD when alot of shit is just closed and you cant touch anything. i really dont get it.
reply

I think its actually blocked off by that enclosure so people dont touch the handrails, but animal kingdom is supposed to be all themed and about the animals
reply

Yes Tim I would have to agree about the obstruction on the safari ride that would truly annoy me. All of this makes me very sad. Stay healthy!
