If I visit Oman, would it be okay to wear the traditional clothes? They look very comfortable and I'm sure cooler in the heat. And I really want to swim in a wadi. I see the guys in trunks, but would it be okay for my girlfriend to wear a bikini? Or a one piece swimsuit? I would not want to disrespect the local culture. Love from West Virginia

Wow, I just found this video, it is amazing. So many questions in my head now. how to feel comfortable sleeping outdoors in a remote country to westerners, swimming by himself in unknown waters, taking those unpaved roads? Guess I need to quite my fear and enjoy my short life. Thank you so much for taking me to Oman in such a unique way.

I have lived in this country in 80's and last visited in 2016 after had left in 1988. I found Oman most peaceful and beautiful country in Middle East. People have become even more humble despite being wealthy and educated. I would love to spend some of my retirement part in Oman.

When people go to Oman they usually dont go to the malls and places like that bc Oman has really nice mountains beaches and deserts and even farms so Oman is a very nature kind of a country and I am Omani I live in Muscat

Oman is a true gem in the middle east! The people are wonderful, friendly, educated and always seem happy. I lived in Salalah for 2 years as a contractor and miss being there!
