Starting a Fire in the Winter with Natural Tinder Paul: if you make like a arrow > shape on your platform of protection from ground moisture it helps keep your bundle from scooting away while striking it plus when drop your twigs on once your bundles lit you can lift the arrow shape up to help with oxygen flow. it helps in the winter time. The lowlight performance of your camera gear is amazing! Which lens did you use primarily for this shoot?
I am, uhm, chuffed with the way you present bushcraft and backpacking in a skillfully made package! Keep doing what you are doing guys.

Andrew I'm not to sure about the camera guy. You may need to teach him fire starting! lol I watch Robby's daily vlogs all of the time. He's a great guy. I like it when you 2 get together. Bob

I was kind of hoping for a more primitive way of fire starting (aka don't have matches/man made sparker, as though I was unexpectedly caught out in a survival situation.

Nice video. Check out naturaltinder. com. Naturaltinder is made to carry with you so you always have a dry source of fire starting tinder. It lights easily and burns hot.

Great footage! I recently upgraded from the Nikon D5500 to the A7ii. I love it so far. The shots where you all sat around the fire, was that autofocus?

I CANNOT WAIT FOR SPRING! Fire isn't as easy to start as some people think and it takes a great deal of fuel to keep it going.
