HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR! Absolute: Theres actually a really good business ploy regarding those -gifts- on the table.
Sooo basically you go in there, and to leave offerings to the god, you can buy these -gifts- from the reception and you leave it on the table while you pray.
Once you go away, that dude with the stripe shirt collects them back and returns them to the reception, ready to be sold again.
Every local knows this and it seems like its a cultural thing since if everyone brought their own gifts, that small table would have been not enough (you saw how many people go there, its crazy.
There's even fake golden paper money you can buy and burn (I think the original culture is that you are supposed to burn real money, but obviously business is business, so why not pay to burn fake golden money instead? That way you get the -good- feeling that you offered something to the god while praying, and the vendor earned some cash on the side $$$$$)

So far, for all the time you're been in Asia, did you ever get food poisoning? Or did any of the food you ate give you diarrhea? If not, you're lucky! Know this, now you may not pay attention to the fact that walking up and down stairs is no big deal, but, when you're older I hope it's just as easy! Watching you go down 6 flights makes me nervous, I can no longer use stairs due to arthritis in both knees! Oh to be young again!

It is so much fun to watch the good old day again. I miss the a bit rough edges. The feel of the places, the people and jour joy feels a bit more genuine. It is just much more charming. I love Karas editing. A mix of both perhaps. A bit smooth and a bit charming. :)

Looks like you were at the night market next to the old snake alley. That's the place where they used to kill snakes in front of customers and serves them up stir fried or in soup. You can also try snake blood in rice wine or snake bile in rice wine.

I enjoyed Taipei! Surprisingly a lot of things to do and places to see that are accessible by train. And the people are so nice. I would like to go back and explore more of Taiwan. And yes, I'm binging on your videos!

Know this is 2 years old and I do live you guys, but please learn a bit about the history of Taipei. It-s a great country with a complex history - Japan did not own Taiwan, they invaded Taiwan, Still love watching you.
