Originally from Niagara Falls, and have a fascination with waterfalls and visited as many around the world that I could during my military career.
Was stationed at an Air Base outside of the central Taiwan city of Taichung in the late 60's and made friends with many of the locals who worked on Base, one was a young man who was originally from a small village not far from the Falls, who was raised by his older brother.
While I visited various parts of the Island during my time there I never made it to the Falls.
When I was transferring back to the States, I flew out of a Base near Taipei, and my friend took me and another Airman I was stationed with to his brothers place and held a surprise -Going Away Party- for me then the next day took a taxi to the Falls.
Rode the Aero Car that you see in the video to the top and walked down, an experience I will never forget

When I was a teenager we lived in a very rural area. One night my mother made chili for dinner, but even though my dad and I enjoyed hot food, we couldn't eat that chili. So my mother froze the leftovers and then she went and bought some mild chili in a can. A few weeks later she diluted the home made with the store bought and we still couldn't eat it. So she gave up and she put the pot of chili outside by the back steps. The next morning out dog woke me up about 6 in the morning and she was going nuts. So I let the dog out the back door and she immediately raced to the back yard. I figured something was back there so I took a look. I saw a black bear come loping across the back lawn and stick his head in the chili pot. He then pulled his head out of the pot and headed back to the woods. EVEN the bears wouldn't eat that chili!

The curly green thing looked like fiddle heads that we eat in the North. I think they may grow as far down as Pennsylvania, but up in Maine they pick them in the fields and make good money selling them to restaurants. theyre actually the ostrich fern in its early growing stages

Thanks for visiting our country, Taiwan. No offense, you guys are wrong about homeless people. People on the street at night doesn't mean they are homeless, they justlove being outside and enjoy themselves in the one of the safest country. :)

I-m sorry I really like your videos until the part you guys try food. most of the food you both dislike are food that locals really like. I-ve seen 3 countries and the 3 food you didn-t like are my favourite with really saddens me-
