Bajan are not the only people that put sugar in their dumplings, they arent the only one that have chicken pumpkin soup, BBQ pigstail or sorrel lol. Alot of that is customary for many Caribbean islands, like Jamaica where I am from.

YES! Food tours are my favorite! Such a Kara and Nate staple! Almost as much as the drone footage and experiencing each country like the locals. Those fish cakes looked delicious. Now I'm craving some fried fish. haha

I can make a better -Long Soup- without trying. And the fish-cakes look to be more cake than fish. But if you enjoyed it, I am glad.
Next time, maybe try some local fruit. Ackees, sea-grapes, Bajan cherries, duncs, etc.

Corn beef cakes are not a main dish. sorrel is made from fried hibiscus buds. but you guys did great. gotta get jam puffs and turn overs and meat rolls next time!

If you're white you get extremely good service in Barbados but if you're black let's just say you don't get treated the same way and keep in mind Barbados is full of mostly black people
