I'm not saying Nate is that way, he's a pretty smart and together guy but he definitely has this aversion especially to his audience / viewers about doing or going to the tourist spots, even though many times he does and doesn't even realize it.
Bottom line is that you have to have an open mind to everything and everywhere and though it may not be for everyone, it certainly not something that should be avoided at all costs (unless personal or physical danger is involved of course) If you never went to the touristy spots you would never see most of the famous sites on this planet and there are a lot of them, from the Pyramids of Gizar to Tristan da Cunha

I do love the vlogs where you venture off the typical tourist's path, or rough it out and explore the places like locals. but it's also great to have a balance and show BOTH the -real- side as well as the more -touristy / luxurious- side of places. I love watching you guys have a great time and enjoying all sorts of experiences! Keep up the amazing work, and enjoy yourselves! If you enjoy it, I enjoy it! :-D

I think you need to do both, I mean no one really want to see you really struggle and have horrible experiences for the vlogs sake, I mean I think you would WANT us to go to the places you do and of course we want and appreciate the honesty and tips and hacks but to put yourself in a miserable situation for a video is not only counter productive but it's not -real- as you say when you want to really experience a place away from tourist traps you want the REAL place, we want the REAL Kara & Nate!

Hi Kara, hi Nate - might be true that some people find it more enjoyable seing u being struggling or so - but after all u went through during the last 2 years it is more than appropiate having some rest, some joy, some comfort, some relaxation - more u had most of the time. My favorite episodes are when you guys just have a great time. i leave the other videos for ppl who enjoy hardships. I'm all about the good times and seeing you guys chill, enjoy life and enjoy the planet. but I am an adventure man so sometimes there are some challenges that just show up to make life interesting as long as it ain't too bad or perilous: -) i love you guys. Great end of the year video! I-m going back and watching all the old episodes too. so cool to see how your editing and filming has changed since the first couple dozen episodes!
