Hi -karaandnate,
I worked at a Roof Rack store in Sydney and it is possible to fit Roof Racks onto your van. We used a Rhino Rack product called RTV248 which is two straight section of track that comes with everything you need to rivet it onto your roof except a drill and the rivet gun. After putting that on most roof rack system will easily fit on.

In regards to the safe. Are you guys watching the weight vs weight capacity of the van that you don't weigh it down too much adding heavy stuff? It will effect your gas mileage as you add more heavy items, right?

I-ve always wanted a van, when my mom was a kid she only traveled so she lived in a van i love tiny homes and spaces so much, my mom and i want a van so bad lol this is so great have a safe fun travel!
