Hiking 25 Miles on the Grand Canyon Tonto Trail

Spent two days backpacking on the Hermit's Rest Viewpoint to Tonto Trail to Bright Angel Trailhead in the Grand Canyon Nicky: This is a good introductory hike for hiking the entire Tonto Trail bc it teaches you two important lessons.
Lesson 1: the trail almost always follows the contour before it begins a steep descent into a major creek bed
Lesson 2: Before you begin your major descent eyeball the trail coming out of creek bed

man for sure you are getting better and better, your videos are getting more transcendental in a way, one of my favorite moments was when you were laying on that rock relaxing, and the next shot was the sky and some beautiful clouds. Also I am very impressed and I don't know how to put it in words, but there is some slowness I guess in your movements, which stems from your knowledge of the patience and discipline you seem to have in order to accomplish such a high quality footage.

Interesting how I enjoyed this maybe very slightly less than your usual videos, because you're not doing it solo - I'm absolutely not saying this as a criticism or saying YOU MUST ONLY DO SOLO HIKE VIDEOS - More just think it's interesting about what is says about me as a viewer maybe. But it's also nice to see you have company for once and I still love this better than 95% of the rest of YouTube!

If you are still in Arizona you should come down south! We have so many beautiful hikes and public lands. I highly recommend Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. While it wouldnt be applicable for a hiking vlog the Ajo Mountain Drive loop is stunning and since its totally black out there at night you can get amazing astro picks! My fav overlooked gem in AZ.

Really nice. I think it's impossible to truly capture how fantastic that scenery is with video or photographs, but you've got as close to it as anything I've seen in a long time. It's been 17 years since I was in that part of the canyon, but many of the sights you showed are still in my memory.

Loved it as always Kraig! Enjoyed the company of Kurt too, it was nice to hear the conversation between you guys on the trail. Theres times when solo is nice, but enjoying the company of a close friend/ family member is also one of my favourite ways to hike.

So beautiful and enjoyable. Love your camera work. I really don't know how you have the puff to blow your bed after all that trekking. Must be me getting old: )

Amazing videos, thanks friend!
The link to your shell just goes to rain jackets on the North Face website. Which model are you using? Thanks!

I could tell right away this was shot on a full frame camera. Much better imagery than the Sony A6600 or the RX. Thanks for the great content.

8: 45 - I usually get extremely gassy when I eat these sort of meals. Unbearable amount of gas to the point of hampering the walk.
