Solo Hiking 40 miles on the Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu

Quite amazing synchronicity, I just woke up this morning in Agua Calientes after having done the same trek (full autonomy though). Going to Machu Picchu this afternoon.
Travelling 6 months in Colombia, Chile and Peru so have been using your videos, gpx and tips quite frequently.

Kraig have loved your work for a long time now. For some reason for me you seemed a little flat on this video. Whether it was the hike itself or other circumstances I m not sure. You just didn t seem to have the same upbeat, positive energy as most of your other posts. Anyway Kraig keep up your amazing work mate and look forward to your next post.

It's been pretty cool to watch you master the art of making these types of videos, not just cinematically but also with the type of gear you bring, and the kind of shots/music you use. The balancing between the music and natural noises. Impressive stuff.

You must have been roasting in the Beta AR. I sold mine as it's just too much jacket for anything other than mountaineering. I use a Gore R7 as my main waterproof jacket now. Super lightweight and hasn't failed yet despite being put through lots.

Salkantay Trek is a famous trekking in Cusco and is a great alternative to the Inka Trail to Machupicchu. Amazing place, machipicchu have wonderful hotel to, thank you for you share you experience.
