Great Sand Dunes National Park, Colorado, USA. Recorded May 2013 in HD with Panasonic TM900. lolcatfrisky: I live in Colorado. And I remember when my uncle would bring me up to the dunes in Walden Colorado along with his two ATVs, a Raptor FYZ450 and a Suzuki ( I don't remember the model) when I was like 8- 10 years old. I haven't been there scene I was 10 and now I'm 14 and I'm hoping my dad will get me a Raptor 700r this summer because he said he would get me one as long as I got good grades, and I am getting good grades.

Awesome is an apt word. It is a geological mystery. Pure silicate, several hundred feet high & only 11, 000 years old. This is seamingly impossible. Nowhere else like it on earth. Logical conclusions are thus far, evading scientific thinkers as to how they might have occured. So concentrated & sudden as they are; abnormal in stark contrast to natural erosion.

Wonderful video. Like the rest of your videos, it captures what the place is truly like. We visited Canyonlands last October and watched your video this evening - it was great. We are back in Colorado for a visit and we are now planning to include Great Sand Dunes. Thank you

I remember going here long time ago, such a surreal experience. In all places Colorado. Very cool. Brings back memories. Went there with the Boy Scouts for an over night camping trip, and played some football on the top of the dunes. :)

yes, the sand dunes are amazing. And only hour away there are hikes to snow lakes at 11-12, 000 feet altitude. Unfortunately I coudn't finish the hike because of the deep snow, so no footage from alpine lakes: (

One summer I made an attempt to run to the top of one of the dunes. Big mistake The higher you go the hotter the sand. The soles of my shoes starting melting. Other than that the sand dunes are breathtaking.

Climbed up the High Dune today on a whim. Haven't had a workout like that in some time. The view from the tops of the dunes and the whole place in general is amazing
