Top 10 Destinations in Germany for 2021 MojoTravels Clay: As a German I think Cologne is absolutely overrated. I would definitly pick Hamburg instead of it. Hamburg has a way prettier old town and with the Harbour and the fish market, the Speicherstadt with the Miniatur Wunderland and Hafen City with the Elbphilharmonie better sights. Also the night life on the famous Reeperbahn is amazing.
Instead of Mainz I would pick Koblenz in this list. Koblenz is about 60 kilometres northwest from Mainz where the river Mosel joins the Rhine. It is a city with great wine and also good beer, the old town is quite as impressive as the old town in Mainz and you can go to fortress Ehrenbreitstein by a cable car above the Rhine.
All in all the list is okay. No insider tipps but the most important places are mentioned.
