My WORST FLIGHTS of 2021

My WORST FLIGHTS of 2021 Jay: I remember my flight from LHR to JFK back in Dec 2019. I was flying the 777 and selected seat 4A (one of my favourites, unfortunately the booking changed and there was only two rows displayed, customer service told me that it could be due to an aircraft change which meant that the booked seats (row 3&4) were no longer passengers on the flight in their selected cabin which was frustrating. On the day I checked BA told me that my seat is still on the booking and it may have just been a technical error on their website and app, the staff member then told me that 1A is available and if I would like I can move my seat from 4A, without hesitation I took up the chance and was like a child in a candy store throughout the terminal excited I had gotten 1A! Unfortunately things took a turn on the flight, a family of 5 with a toddler and young children flew in the cabin, behind me in 2A was the nanny and the toddler and the children ran around in the cabin and the toddler kept banging my seat wall. I was in 7hrs of hell, in-fact my Ryanair flight on a middle seat with a bumpy landing was better that that. I was so frustrated that I asked the cabin crew to do something and bless them they tried however the parents and the nanny did not care and do enough to respect the passengers in the cabin. I have nothing against families and children travelling in First but if you know that you children are too young and may behave a certain way you really should consider what is best for everyone, perhaps a private plane if you feel that your entitlement is far above everyones peace? Anyways I ended up putting a complaint with BA about Cabin quality and atmosphere and explained the situation, I was awarded 25, 000 avios points and an apology. What turned into a nightmare flight ended up being one of the greatest things to have happened to me haha

Thank you for the bit on counselling. 2021 was the first year I've had to go for that too. Your worst flight reminded me of the worst flying-related ride I've ever had it was a chartered bus to the airport in HK. Halfway there, someone suddenly shouted, Hey, the driver's sleeping! And we all looked over and gasped, thankfully to see him suddenly jolt awake. The worst actual plane ride I've had was also HK-related, unfortunately, and nothing to do with the plane. It was just after the disappearance of MH370, and I had a sudden attack of paranoia and claustrophobia after hearing the pilot speak. Got through the ride by going to the back of the plane (when it was OK to do so) and looking down the aisle, and rushing into the washroom to kind-of shout things out and pray. Anyway, hope everyone has a better 2022!

My worst two flights this year have been with BA. From T5 to Cape Town and back. Flight out, the TV was broken, hanging loose in its holder and didnt work. My seat was jammed so could not recline at all. There was food debris in the seat pocket and food was horrendous! On the home trip we were delayed at Cape Town for 16 hours, eventually taking off at 04. 15. Food was terrible, service non existent, call bells ignored etc. Arriving at T5, another hours delay as there was no where to park the plane! All in all, terrible flights, terrible service, never ever again BA!

Hi Noel. I am new to your adventures. I was pleased to see you really enjoyed flying with MAF. They are an amazing organisation. I used to travel round Noth Wales giving presentations on their behalf. I used to say to my audiences that every 3 minutes an MAF plane is landing or taking off somewhere in the world. They are lovely folk.

Wow! I was so shocked because you never hear one tiny kind word about USA! People just think America is Hollywood & New York but America actually is all the other states!
Speaking of Mental Health thanks Noel I guess I needed that! It certainly isn't easy to be just a regular working class American these days.

I have to agree that your trip to Alliance seemed to be the best experience of the year. In terms of actual flights, however, I might say your seaplane and helicopter adventures around Vancouver were spectacular. I've always wanted to visit, and your journey has cemented that into my mind.

Fuk the trolls - nasty mean people. Never knew there where so many useless mean frustrated people until I listened to how bad they attack you tubers and other social media influencers. Horrible to go thru. Please know the rest of us appreciate you very much!

Great job on the video and all the air travel you do on some very questionable aircraft in third world countries - Remember this, There old air travelers and there are bold air travelers, but there are no old bold air travelers.

If there's one thing I don't miss it's American's fleet of MD-80 series planes; woof. I was lucky enough to fly on both a Northwest DC-9 and an AirTean 717 and they were both worlds better than those awful MD-80s, somehow.

When you board an aircraft and after the initial thrill of the take-off as you rise above the clouds; who in their right mind would not feel a release.
I agree with you on that and wish you the very best.

I recognise that road at the end: . I used to live in Chesterfield and work in Altrincham, so drove along there every day.
With you flying out of Gamston a lot, I thought you lived further south.

Great video as usual - but special mention must go I think to the lady sitting behind you when your speaking about your sponsor - her expression at 4: 57 is something rather funny.

I love watching your videos even though I havent seen them all, I used to travel a lot but taking on a caring role has prevented me travelling, so your videos are a welcomed tonic.

So true Noel, when travelling you meet so many nice people who just want to help, It is easy to get caught up in the negatives of this world but the positives always shine through.

Have you ever flew on an AN-12? Not sure if they are or ever where passenger flights.

I enjoy your videos and I learn a lot. As a fellow pilot, I also enjoy the pilot point of view. Not sure that I could deal with all the long flights you place yourself in.

Ignore the trolls! I found out my brother watches you as much as me and he doesn't even like Aviation! People will always bully and troll. Water off a ducks back!
