FlyBe were still running 146s at the time and there was one we hated in particular. Packing the luggage into the hold was bad enough - the hold in a 146 is about three feet high and you had to crawl along, drag the suitcases from one end to the other, then stack them working backwards down the hold. This particular aircraft had a really rough floor in the hold and a couple of the flooring plates had the corners bent upwards. You tried to avoid them but inevitably, sooner or later, one knee would go right down on the spike. If it wasn't you, you always knew when it happened becuase the shriek of pain could be heard right across the apron. Yes, I did. more times than I care to remember

This is the southernmost airport _with scheduled commercial service. _ The famous Paulus Skiway used for re-supply near the South Pole is much further south, for example. They have no problem with ice walls or otherwise falling off the world anywhere, though, just as Qantas has never had a problem overflying the pole as the shortest route to destinations in South America. That's why nearly all major flat-earth names want nothing to do with actually going to the South Pole. It's like someone who doesn't believe in fire, and has staked their identity on it, being offered a box of kitchen matches.

Btw abuelo philipe I think it means grandpa phillip, I been to spain ony couple of times, but in my country latin american telenovelas are hugely popular so the language sticks with you over the years,
This was a great choice you came all the way down there, so close to Antarctica, awesome. If you could to other remote places with a town review it would be so cool, like Barrow, Alaska; Svalbard; Illulissat, Greenland (to check hows the new airport construction going); Papette; St Helena.

Hi Noel I worked on this plane in Chile in 2008. The plane was in Santiago for months. That plane was in excellent condition and the check went well. I was there 11 weeks and really enjoyed Chile. I made good friends whom i am still in contact with. Love your content. Keep up the good work.

Oh I might have ground handled that 146! I worked for Air Wisconsin way back in the mid aughts when they were flying into Aspen IIRC out of Milwaukee. It's the only four engine plane I've ridden on and I love the little guy! Edit: I wonder if they're operating it for it's STOL capability

Great video, Is there any chance you can get on a flight to Antarctica pulling some strings, I don't know how many countries you have been to but but be close to all of them. What app were you using on the plane telling you your altitude Can't wait till your next video.

I know all the obstacles can be a pain but your adventures are things most of us can never do for various reasons. You should be very proud of what you’re doing because you’re giving pleasure to. We will have to live our lives vicariously through you. Well done enjoy

Congrats on going to another place I have no interest in seeing. LOL What time of year was this visit I'm with the Spanish. if it's cold, no thanks. I ditched New England almost 30 years ago for Texas, you know, where all the smart people go. HAha.

Actually, I am pretty sure the Cyber truck would have more torque and would actually be pretty good for those kinds of applications. You would probably only need to charge it every week. I think that was a bit bad joke tbh.

Great video Noel. Bet it was a big shock to the body going from Rio to Chile. Nice aircraft. You need to try the flight to Wolf's Fang Antarctica. Jeb Brooks did that trip last year. That was some seriously cold weather.

You should talk to Josh Cahill about southernmost airports. He flew to King George Island earlier this year with the same airline as you. Granted, it was a charter flight, but it's still further south than Puerto Williams.

As a kid I flew from Southend (where Flightline was based) on a BAe 146 a couple of times in the 1980s - could have been that actual jet! The Queen's Whisperjet is in Duxford and well worth a tour!

Actually Noel, the Cyber truck, if it had a good tow bar, would do a better job than the Dodge Ram as it has 864 lb-ft of combined torque, with 320 lb-ft in the front and 544 lb-ft in the rear.
