As others have said, Laos is pronounced 'Louse' as in 'House' and Lao is 'Laow' as in 'cow'. What's bizarre is that over these two videos, you have added in video clips from a cartoon where it is pronounced correctly - it has been literally demonstrated how to pronounce correctly (though I'm guessing you did the filming, before digging out those video clips to insert in to the edit. It's still making me wince every time I hear it mispronounced, especially as I hitch-hiked across the country in a lorry back in the mid 90s!

Actual translation of the Korean at the hotel reception (much less funny than the captions though):
Junbi, is it going to Gita Terminal at 2503
46556, the 8 o’clock time.
Mr. No-il.
Uh, this part goes out again from Koreana 1.
So first, please handle the cancellation of that card payment and promote it tomorrow,
and contact the embassy again from this side.
(Gemini and ChatGPT failed on this one, but Perplexity managed a transcription, although some words seem to be wrong)

Dear Noel. Happy Christmas to you and your family. Have loved your videos though I get very stressed when i see you having problems. Would love if you could look in to the issue of getting in touch with airlines if you have issues. I have just spent hours trying to get in touch with Air France by phone and on chat on their website with no luck. Do you have special numbers that get you through to real people who can answer your queries or do you bang your head against the wall like the rest of us

I can understand sort of making a big deal out of something to generate an interesting angle, but. the vast majority of all air crashes in Laos seem to come from Air America which was a covert, supposedly CIA backed military deal in the 60s and 70s.
When you filter out the horrible old planes and some truly horrid flying conditions common to the region, they are actually doing quite well. Certainly no more dangerous than flying in many places.

Translation captioning at the capsule hotel was not even a little bit accurate. My Korean wife of 37 years listened to her and said she was 100% professional. I speak a little Korean myself and the captions did not follow her conversation at all. Noel should probably pin a disclaimer at the top of the comments that the captioning was for comic relief

One minute the seats are represented as This amazing, beautiful pea green, and then a minute later the green colour is an acquired taste, let's not beat about the bush with that. Anyone would think that Noel is insincere! Heaven forbid.

Hmm, just letting sink in the start of it:
There is the _Mekong_ River which is known for flooding and disasters and right next toot the head office of _Lao_ Airlines.
What can possibly go wrong with their PR image

Obsessing about coffee and butchering the pronunciation of the airline and city you are featuring. Laos, Vientiane isnt
Houston or LA thank goodness the people and culture are gentle, not brash or Starbucks fixated.

i was there two weeks ago in the Darakhyu hotel, it gets the job done. i was sad that the Dunkins by the Airport Bus waiting area in T2 is gone though. although they don't have the Dunkin wrap so I wasn't missing much.

You need to do the flight into Bhutan, it is a wild ride in.
Plus, you should do the Qantas Antarctica flight, or the White Desert flight down to Wolf Fang in Antarctica and land in an ice runway in an A330.

The translation of that lady was amazingly rude, yet hilarious. I was laughing when I saw it. I am curious how she reacted when she saw the video (you know she probably watched it. Always fun to watch your videos.

Noel - 13. 46 into your video and you are not, it seems not wearing your favorite Holzkern brand watch, but another watch, on this trip. Which watch do you wear on your trips.
Enjoyed the video.

I can't believe we are in the modern era of aviation and the third world can't replicate what the US is doing with the FAA. You would think all those tragedies would spark reform.

I am curious to know if you have to get permission to film certain things or areas during your travels. I would like to start traveling more and want to start filming my adventures.

I fly through Incheon a lot from Kyushu to Europe and last year with Asiana by A380 to LA. I like their terminals, and your capsule looked very good for a short kip, Mr Kim!

12: 21 It seems I'm doing a lot of eating, sleeping, flying and repeating. Don't worry about it, Noel. When you get to my age, you will be doing a lot more repeating.
