Keep your travel dreams alive with this clip! In Rome, pop into churches to see art in situ not hanging on museum walls, but exactly where it was meant to be enjoyed including magnificent Michelangelo sculptures, dazzling Byzantine mosaics, and impressive Renaissance frescoes. Astragoth2: the irony. Sa Prassede is right behind the sa Maria Maggiore, a much more popular and much more visited. This gem is less then 50 meters away and most visitors don't even know it.

It's great to see Steve getting back into the swim in spite of physical travel restrictions. I've lived in italy for most of the last 50 years so most of the things Steve describes I've actually seen for myself but it's great to revisit them visually and to be guided through them by such an enthusiastic and erudite commentator. Steve is not just simpatico he's simpaticissimo.

Rick I'm curious to hear your position on the young liberal antifa people destroying historical moments. How do you like CHOPs in downtown Seattle? I hear they hate all the fascist conservatives. Of course they are the fascist, maybe burning historic books is next for them? They are already against free speech.

To Rome twice, both with RS tours. Art, architecture, culture and cuisine phenomenal! Hoping to visit again soon, post pandemic.
