We were there in a 1986 when they offered bush plane rides off the glacier and I took a flight. Really unique experience.
Of all our vacations, we savor this trip the most, especially the town of Wengen and the over the top town of Murren.
You won't regret this trip. Wondering if its worth the time, hassle and money? It was for us in spades! Just do it.
We were there in mid-September for 3 weeks, best time of the year in our opinion, a lot of tourists are gone by then.

I was there 2001 and the train I was on was one of the old ones that had wooden strips down the middle. The seats were also at an angle because of the steep climb. It was awkward at the beginning of the journey before the hill became steep, but I loved its old world charm. What a great trip that was!
