I visited this Versailles Palace in May 2018. It is the most beautiful and glorious Palace in the world. When I watched this video I had a flashback of memories. I would love to visit this Palace once again.

Such an amazing palace! The palace was badly sacked during the revolution though. Meaning, most furnitures were damaged and looted. The historians and artisans painstakingly restore it to its former state

I don't think this palace was necessary.
What is the productivity of it?
It's only a burden.
If it was open to public then as tourists, then revenue would have made this project practical.

Thanks for this interesting doc. A mistake nevertheless it was of course 50% of royal budget and not national GDP which was used for the construction.
