Join me on a solo bushcraft trip where I use basic hand tools to build a bushcraft camp shelter using sticks, debris and fallen leaves. I also build a firepit, and bring over my meat smoker from the other bushcraft camp. Join me as I will continue to add to this bushcraft camp. Hi Mike yes please I love the idea of building shelters
Years ago I built stelf shelters with the young scouts group up in caverswall near Cheadle I studied my bushcraft idol ray mears and is way of thinking in bushcraft and outdoor survival is what inspired me to teach bushcraft to others many years ago my and my friend we have the same interests in bushcraft and once or twice a year we both go out and we enjoy it unfortunately my health isn't good at the moment which does stop me going out as much as I would like.
My all time favourite shelter ray made was a group shelter and I've always wanted to do one but there's no where we could do one as I don't no anyone that could give us permission to set up on there land so for me it's just a dream lol.
Any way Mike I would love to see your many shelters and ideas you have to be shown.
Thanks Mike

Wishing you, your family and of course Jax all the very best Mike. Am loving your new shelter build and a nice thing to extend it. I've also a suggestion to contemplate, as part of your longer term camp. You could create a fully or partially subterranean storage / holding area, lined with wood panels and with either a concealed entrance, bushcrafty, or woodsman cottage kind of thing, obviously your imagination and you could use ideas from your previous builds, what do you think Mike Take care, keep up the fab work, many thanks.

Lets go. I love when you do random shelters for overnights. only thing missing is when you make a fire. that you do the old tinder bag toss camera shot. idk why I I always enjoyed that shot as it was the preparation that a fire was inbound. and I really enjoy seeing fires created by more traditional methods. cheers mike. wearing my bushcraft brotherhood hoodie today, so it is funny we got a video today. enjoying now. cheers bro. hope you have an amazing day

What's up my friend I'm an old dude of 73, and in fairly good shape. It's really good to see you build some of the things you build. I think one day I might try and do something like that one. At my age I think all I have to do is take my time and do it a piece at a time, no matter how long it takes, and just have fun. And If I mess up, take it down and keep trying till I do it. Take it easy dude. Peace!

I love all of your content but your shelters is what brought me here in the first place. As for Jax, have you looked into mineral deficiency My Rambo has seizures and a year ago he was having them every 2 weeks. We started giving him mineral supplements in his water and he hasn't had any since. It's just a thought, maybe it could help.

To be frank this type of lean to is something I could never sleep under. The side load of the roof at that steep of pitch I would just be too afraid of it falling on me in the night. Lower angle with a lashed ridge maybe but as tall & dependent on those braces in the front as this roof is seems risky & prone to sailing from the wind.

Yes. Mike make more raw shelters n yes make add-ons, throw some wild cooking in, even if sometime's it's from the supermarket enroute. to garnish. I'm thinkin basics would work excellent in the camp build series you got planned, Take care as always n say hello to TA Fishing thanks look forward to all video's.

It's been said a bunch already but honestly Mike - We're here to watch whatever you want to put out. If that's shelters and bushcraft, we're in! If it's camping and testing out weird and wonderful tents, we're in! Whatever it is, so long as you're happy and enjoying it, that's what matters.

I love learning about wilderness survival. What would you do if you were hurt and alone, with no tools On a side note, you and my husband must be related on our second or third date many moons ago. My husband put apples in a potato pack: it did not go well. LOL. Feel better, Jax.

Building the shelter is not quick and efficient. Firstly, I would have built a tripod on the left and right like a campfire and placed a cross branch over it. In terms of time, that would have been quicker than digging a hole and finding suitable branches rather than posts.

If he is on oral flea and tick meds or oral heartworm meds, they will cause seizures. Our dogs were on both of those types of meds and once we took them off, they were seizure-free 3 years so far. Yes! More builds! Get back to your roots, we miss those!

Absolutely, my #1 interest is Shelter Building and Camp creation. Then comes gear, like knifes, axes, saws, etc. But generally whatever feeds the The more you know, the less you carry, line. Thanks for a great new series! Xoxo to Jax

I love the shelter builds. Especially the bushcraft camp. I have watched that series through several times. But not the breaking down of it. I understand the need to have taken it apart, but I would rather watch the building of it.

Mike, keep an eye on Jax. My JRT was diagnosed with Epilepsy at 3yo and had seizures til the end at 14&1/2. He had at least one a month even while on multiple meds. Great dogs, I still miss mine.

oh yeah, 8 or 9 years ago
you had the tower and walls and all
love, n it again thank you
that's been a while
but I subbed way back then
wow long time
thanks for the videos

I feel like it would be easier to just build a whole new shelter that is appropriate for storage and put on a normal wall. It could be shorter and wouldn't need to be as secure/waterproof

How many acres do you have Mike It’s a beautiful woodland and I’m glad you own it. You’ve worked hard to share your knowledge with us and it is good to see it paying dividends.

a new vid suggestion could be you ranking all the kit you have and tell us what you learned and your best uses for your kit and very good vid and always love watching them keep it up!

Looks good for a single night. Here in Canada it gets to -30C at night in the winter. So many of 'survivalists' making videos wouldn't last 36 hours of winter bush here, lol.
