I hope your temu tent doesn’t leak. I bought a tent from temu and gave it to my grandson for his birthday and he said it leaked. Made me feel bad so I bought him another one from walmart. It didn’t leak. He loved it. Not everything from temu is good. I ordered a bunch of clothes and shoes from Temu and didn’t get half of them but they took my money. But I got the money back and haven’t ordered from them again. I order from wish now. Their merchandise is a lot better.

That tent looks pretty carp to me. Apart from the Flecktarn pattern there’s nothing recon’ about it. It’s far too high profile for real stealth and at 2. 5kg it’s quite heavy for a 1-person tent. I wouldn’t fancy carrying that in a rucksack.
Also, in Northern Europe it’s not a good idea to have an inner-first tent. Much better to have a flysheet-first or an all-at-once tent.
Personally I’d rather have a basha than that, especially at that price.

Freeze dried food pouches are easier prep if you just pour in the water, zip it shut but leave the air inside. When you shake it, it will slosh around properly mixing it up well. Also, if you are having issues getting the bottom mixed, make sure the zipper pouch is sealed all the way and shake it up side down. Hold the zip on the pouch while you shake it this way so you don't force it open. I do it that way all the time and it works great.

Hey why do you not take one of them battery powered mini puma to inflate your sleep mat and I know it’s bush craft by why don’t you just take a pack of fire lighter and a clipper lighter with you and would it not be easier to do some meal prep at home and take some Tupperware with you with like cold chicken and pasta and like a couple of weatabix and milk and why do t you ever take a chainsaw with you.

You put that tent down, without clearing the debris first Didn't check the bare ground first to see if anything would be able to poke holes in your tent floor, then rolled on the tent. Clean your tent footprint first, remove anything that might penetrate your tent floor. Then pitch your tent.

So what you wound up with was a better-than-expected cheap tent, a fire bellows, and a spork, along with a few disposable extra extras.
Ordinarily, survival kits often offer at least a good list of items to have, even if the examples aren’t great. This, however, was not even a complete list.

Hi Mike. Great videos. My name is Grant and served 22 years in the British army. I watched your video on your landrover and 9x9 tent. Just a quick comment. When you erected the tent, do you realuse you had the canvas inside out. If it had rained, water would have poured inside the tent.

Interesting to see you use these different price range kits and how they stack up against each other.
Have you thought of going to different places to make it a more interesting watch
Wilderness on the coastline or on a mountain top.
Way up north in Scotland etc.

Thanks for your latest Mike, always enjoy watching! Now we know of yet another cheapie Survival kit to avoid. One thing I did find helpful was with by all the can openers to open beer bottles you will eventually get drunk enough where the kit would seem less crappy! : )

Those blocks are intended for use with a mess tin, not a bushpot. On my experience they are a little bit too flamey for a bush pot. Quite a lot of the heat just goes up the side. So you might want to try cutting the fire dragon block in half. Use one half then the other.

Stuff looks good. Alternatives to these bits are secondhand military surplus. Prices may cost more but the quality kills it. Tent comparison ICS , Folding shovel I got for about $20 back 90s. MSS sleep system. Would you consider doing a comparison video

The tent might be good as a small space in the winter when the power goes out. You could set it up on a bed and put an extra blanket over the whole thing to keep the small space warmer. It's better with more than one person, but if you're alone, why not

This tent looks very much like the tent I had (Wechsel Pathfinder. Only that one didn't have the camo print. And this tent must be larger, I stopped using that Wechsel tent because I couldn't sit straight up in it, and I am surely smaller than you.

Not surprised the firesteel didn't work too well, considering you were using completely the wrong part of the striker Try the curved bit on the end next time, with the slight serrations.
That shovel was entertainingly bad, though.

32: 19 why don’t you make your own kit and sell them Do you know what needs to be in there at what not needs to be in there I’m pretty sure that they would sell very well especially coming from you. I think I would buy one.

Sorry man. Cannot support Temu stuff, they use forced labour to make their products. Particularly the Ethnic Uyghur people of China, that’s why they can sell all their products super cheap. Inhumane and supporting genocide.

I enjoyed your video. Looks a decent little tent and I like the camo look on it. How many bottle openers do you need in one kit
Really shocking but not shocking kit considering where its from.
Thankyoo for sharing.

can we have a catch or 'here's one i caught earlier' meal rather than these repetitive boil in bag stuff, they are very expensive,
and also, cooking say a rabbit or fish on a camp fire can be tricky.

Study the dakota fire hole more. With proper geometry the fire itself will suck air through the small hole and tunnel regardless of wind direction. Almost like a rocket stove. Maybe the tunnel wasn't sloped right
