If you are into your bushcraft, fishing, wild camping and the wilderness, you might want a folding saw. Mike Pullen gives you a full review of the Bahco Laplander Folding Saw (396LAP) and he puts it to the test on logs of different diameters. The blade itself is made of high quality Sandvik steel. It has a non-stick protecting coating which helps the blade to glide through when cutting and prevents the blade from bending when sawing on the downward stroke. The Bahco XT toothing cut in both directions when sawing. The blade has a lock system on both the open and close. The weight is around 200g, the blade length is 7. 5 inches and overall length when sheathed is around 9 inches. It also has the option of a lanyard

My job involves tree pruning and surgery work. I still carry one of these in my pocket, but often rely more on my Silky Zubat which is a step up in price and quality. Having said that, you have reviewed a seriously durable and functional saw which has served me well for years. Good review Mike and thanks for posting.

Good review I have a similar one and certainly wouldn't be without it when in the field. Combining fishing with even basic bushcraft makes for a nice wee adventure weekend or two. Very satisfying. Keep the vids coming
